I have never seen the original Charlie’s Angels series but if was anything like the film, it must have been good. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu star as Charlie’s Angels, special agents funded by a millionaire named Charles Townsend who can’t master the art of face-to-face conversation. The angels get a call from Charlie when a new mission comes up, and if they accept, a film like this is produced.
THE FILM:
The film begins with a rather cool LL Cool J walking from the toilet in an aircraft back to his seat in first class. Next thing you know, he’s grabbed a passenger opened the aircraft door and the both of them are hurtling towards the ground. Then, Alex (Lucy Liu) jumps out of a helicopter onto the two men hurtling downwards. She rips a bomb off the passenger’s chest and opens a parachute landing in a speedboat driven by the ever so wonderful Natalie (Cameron Diaz). LL Cool J then takes of a mask to reveal the third member, Dylan (Drew Barrymore).
The film begins to emerge with the angels having to rescue a soon to be billionaire after being kidnapped, or so it may seem. Set-ups and twists in the plot continue to keep your attention throughout the entire film.
VERDICT:
Overall, I really rate this film. It’s also really worth getting on DVD because of quite a few extra features (bloopers, cast/crew interviews, etc…).
If I had to give it a score… 9/10.

Advantages: Anything that has Cameron Diaz in it, wet and 'unzipped' to the waist has got to get 5 stars Disadvantages: not sure Lucy Liu was the right casting for the 3rd 'Angel'

Review of Charlie's Angels (DVD)
Advantages: Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz... Disadvantages: The most stupid film ever, even worse than The Avengers, possibly as bad as Batman and Robin
