Do you ever wonder what makes you go and watch this movie? The actors? The story? The genre? Well I think there are two main reasons why people gave this remake of the slightly remembered Charlie's Angels 70's series a chance. One, the curiosity of the classic's remake. Two, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.
I have to admit the film tries hard to borrow as many aspects from the series as possible, but in this it gives up any chance of bringing up a decent interesting plot, what is left being a very predictable story. I has a go at being a comedy but results a fight light action movie.
Nevertheless I must say they managed to exploit the three angels' anatomies and jumping around talents, enough for any desperate fan out there. No memorable acting. Good soundtrack, look for Destiny's Child song Independant Women.
Charlie's angels: I think is a good movie to go with the lads, and with the ladies only if there is nothing else on.

But au contraire, all the girlies I know who've seen it have loved it - including me. They got all the female in-jokes, they loved Drew Barrymore in particular and picked up on all the subleties that give away just how many women worked on this movie compared to your average Hollywood product.

Advantages: Anything that has Cameron Diaz in it, wet and 'unzipped' to the waist has got to get 5 stars Disadvantages: not sure Lucy Liu was the right casting for the 3rd 'Angel'

Review of Charlie's Angels (DVD)
Advantages: Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz... Disadvantages: The most stupid film ever, even worse than The Avengers, possibly as bad as Batman and Robin
