It's summer 2003, and the angels are back-but this time, full throttle. if you thought the last film was racy, funny, and stylish-you should see this one! As usual there was excellent acting from Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Lui, with all 3 looking flawless as ever.
The angels have yet another mission to solve and the beginning is a complete rip off of the last james Bond movie, but definately one for the boys, with Cameron Diaz dressed in a fluffy outfit as a young danish girl, while riding a bucking broncho... There's high speed action from the start, with the girls kicking ass in the few first scenes and somehow, still managing to do it in high heels. The boyfriends from the last film, pete (Luke wilson) and Jason (matt le blanc) and also 'Creepy thin man' make appearances throughout the film, with bigger parts than in the first film, but unfortunately 'The Chad' is not back. However there are some new characters in the form of Bernie Mac playing the new Bosley and Demi Moore playing ex-angel angie? who is an angel turned sour and the meeting of another ex-boyfriend. Also are guest appearances from Pink and the Olsen twins and many other famous faces that you're bound to recognise.
As usual, the film has twists and turns all over the place, which is why i haven't said too much about the storyline (i don't want to give it away before you've seen it!), cheesy and sexual jokes, the added entertainemt of 'the black man' character now found in many teen films and all the special effects and martial arts, we've grown to love, while still keeping all the important aspects of the characters and their characteristics from the last film.
The soundtrack is mainly by The Prodigy and Pink, with such songs as 'FireStarter' and 'Feel good time' and brings back the old classic 'Heaven must be missing an angel.' Another appearence is 'Cant touch this' by MC Hammer - or covered by many other artists.
I definately recommend it to anyone and everyone, it has aspects to fulfill everyones requirements of a film and is fun, light and easy to watch!
