For anyone who doesn?t know, Charlie?s Angels are 3 women, Natalie, Dylan and Alex (played by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu) who work undercover for the elusive Charlie. The films are based on the TV series from the 70?s (I think), and neither the films nor the series reveal Charlie?s face, all communication is done via a telephone speaker.
The Plot
This film begins in Outer Mongolia, where the Angels have been sent to rescue US Marshal Ray Carter (Robert Patrick) who has been kidnapped and his ring stolen. Shortly after he is rescued, a second man is attacked and his ring is also stolen (I can?t remember the name, but he was played by Bruce Willis). And that is how Charlie's Angels: FullThrottle starts. From that piece you can basically gather everything you need to know about the rest of the film: Diaz is the kooky, fun-loving one, Barrymore is tough tomboy, and Lui is the stylish classy flexible one, the plot doesn't matter at all, the angels always win, with ne'er even smudging their lipstick, and they do all of this in ridiculous heels.
FullThrottle is an appropriate name. Everything about the film is done to the max - the numerous explosions, the action set-pieces, the exaggerated villains, the girls' outfits, the gadgets, the sexy dance sequences, the "token black guy" - Bernie Mac's Bosley. It's overblown, overexcited, and slightly overrated.

Yes, I was bored. I admit it, and it was a choice of this or "Bruce Almighty". However, I watched the first Charlie's Angels movie and I liked it! The first movie was an enjoyable no brain popcorn romp featuring three beautiful women kicking ass in skimpy outfits while performing Matrix-lite kung fu. Charlie's Angels: FullThrottle is like that, but there's more. Charlie's Angels: FullThrottle (CAFT from now on) suffers from sequelitis. Sometimes, this is a good thing (Aliens, Terminator 2, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey) and sometimes it's a bad thing (Matrix: Reloaded, Beverley Hills Cop 2, Predator 2).

From the acclaimed music-video director McG (Joseph McGinty), CHARLIE'S ANGELS wastes little time on plot, instead presenting audiences with a series of spectacular MATRIX-style fight sequences, car chases, and stunts. Diaz, Barrymore, and Liu as the three Angels give terrific performances worthy of a new breed of female action hero, kicking major butt while remaining lovable and sexy. The movie also stars Bill Murray as the Angels' mentor, Bosley, and John Forsythe as the voice of Charlie. Disc 2: CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE reunites Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu as they once again wage battle against some formidable opponents. This time around the three angels are on a mission to track down two stolen rings that contain encrypted information relating to the Witness Protection Program. Naturally the girls kick some serious butt, often facing some familiar villains in the shape of a returning Crispin Glover (as the Thin Man) and Justin Theroux (as Seamus O'Grady), a former beau of Barrymore's character. To further spice things up, there is an ex-angel, played by a shapely Demi Moore, who is rather keen on getting her hands on the rings, all adding up to lots of thrills and spills for the girls. Director McG returns from the original movie, this time upping the action ante with a series of spectacular stunts and CGI-assisted tricks. Employing a neverending array of celebrity cameo appearances, McG builds on the momentum of the previous movie and neatly balances the combination of comedy set pieces and action sequences. Cast and crew keep their tongues planted firmly in their cheeks throughout, leading to a not-too-serious romp that is a feast for the eyes.
