I got this DVD because the before and after pictures are very believable! There is a quick film on the DVD showing Charlie's progress, which I found very encouraging. Charlie is very familiar with the moves as well and I really felt that this was a routine she had been following, unlike some celebrity DVDs where it's obvious they meet the trainer only on the day of shooting.
The DVD is split into five ten minute sections, which is great if like me you get easily bored. The trainer is very down to earth and there is a good rapport between her and Charlie. The DVD gets straight down to it and there are no long discussions beforehand.
The music is very bland and kept more as background noise. I prefer more uplifting, sing along music, but kept up with the DVD without problems.
At the end of the DVD is a presentation of the diet Charlie followed, which is really good with some useful recipes.
1. Warm-up This is a bit difficult to follow at first, but I just jogged or marched in the bits I got lost in. It definitely warms you up!
2. Dance I used to go to keep fit dance classes so I found it a bit boring. It is more like keep fit than dance, but as it is only 10 minutes it's still good for getting your heart rate going.
3. Combat This is great fun after a stressful day and really works.
4. High Intensity I think this part is best suited to the video, you can tell that it's the trainer's best area. It is very hard work but she leads it brilliantly so that you keep going and before you know it it's over.
5. Pilates I'd never done this before and loved it. It has some BRILLIANT stomach exercises. I cannot do sit-ups and have always had a problem toning my stomach, as I normally end up hurting my back or neck. There are some floor exercises which I found I could do for the stomach - I would warn that you need to only do a couple on the first video though. It doesn't hurt much when you do it, but you feel it the next day.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this DVD. The different workouts mean it's perfect for someone who can't necessarily spare an hour at a time, as you can do the first and last parts and then pick a different middle work-out each time.
