The film basically is about Cats versus Dogs. A puppy called Lou is taken in by the Brody family, he then finds out that a neighbouring dog is a secret agent and Lou somehow gets involved in saving the canine world from the enemy, cats. The father of the family is close to finding a cure to stop people being allergic to dogs. The cats, led by Mr Tinkles, do everything they can to stop this cure from being found and given to people. Instead they try to reverse the cure to make all humans allergic to the canine race. I will leave the ending for you to watch.
Firstly, when putting this DVD on there are a generous amount of special features. Such as Audio commentary, HBO first look, and other features that help you understand how the film was made. I found this very interesting as I find that the special features in this film are spectacular. In particular, the cartoon way that the animals talk and act but the film has used actual dogs and cats. It is a film that you can watch over and over again as i have watched it a thousand times with my little brother and he still finds it very humerous. It seems to entertain children for hours. So to me its obvious it isnt a one trip pony. It also feels like you are getting involved when watching the DVD as you can change the menu to be either cats or dogs so therefore you can choose the side you are supporting. The overall film is a good brain teaser for children as they then seem to think that cats and dogs are up to something in real life situations. It seems to give them more imagination, if they need anymore. A criticism of the film is the way it does portray cats. It is a good story line but i feel some sympathy for cats in real life situations as children believe anything, so if they believe the storyline of this film then obviously they will prefer dogs to cats meaning cats being left out.

Welcome to Ciao. A good first review, which is a little lacking in some basic details (price, availability, cast, (voice actors) and more info on main characters come to mind). 8^)
