I love writing so much, and my favourite film is The Secretary. I love the Harry Potter books too.

A Warner Brothers film, directed by Lawrence Guterman, Cats and Dogs is a hilarious spy thriller type film with great special effects and 'Matrix' style fight scenes. The way that the animals mouths move in time to the words they are saying is unbelievable, and at the same time almost believable too... If that makes much sense.
The film is available from HMV on video £5.99 and on DVD £19.99

Storyline *********
Humans are unaware, but seemlingly inncocent domestic pets are at war, and have been for centuries! Cats hate dogs and dogs hate cats. It's been that way ever since an evil Pharaoh cat in Ancient Egypy treated humans like slaves. Dogs became mans best friend after rescuing the people and putting the cats back in their place.
The cats are angry, and every now and then a rouge cat steps out of line and thins he can change the order of nature!
Mr. Tinkles is a big, white fluffy feline, pet to Mr. Mason, the owner of a big factory, who is apparantly in a coma. He has big plans to detroy the bond between men and his enemies and take over the world. However, the path of evilness never runs smoothe...
He thinks he is on top of things when they 'catnap' Buddy, an secret agent, and pet dog of a young boy named Scotty. It's Buddy's job to protect Scotty's dads lab. Scotty's dad, Proffessor Brody, is a scientist, trying to find a cure for dog allergies. This could be devastating to Mr. Tinkles plans, and with Buddy out the way he is free to steal the professors researchand hatch his evil plot! Or so he thinks...
The Brody's have a new puppy, Lou, sent to replace Buddy. He's not trained as an agent, but accidently got mixed up in a secret operation, and now finds himself with an important role to play in saving humanity.
Despite Tinkle's attemps to get rid of Lou, it turns out Lou is tougher than he seems, and may just be agent material after all.
Tinkle's plans fall in to place however, after kidnapping the Brody family, and it looks like he will soon have the ability to turn the finished formula around - to make all humans allergic to dogs!!!
Will Buddy and the other agents be able to stop him, or has the desision of one small puppy doomed the human race forever?
My son and I really enjoy this film. It still makes me laugh and I've seen it somewhere in the region of 30 times now. I love the faces of the dogs and the humour. I'm a fan of sarcastic humour and there is some of this in the film, which works really well. A favourite line of mine is when Mr. Tinkles sets a building on fire, turns to his servant Calico, and say "You have to stay here" Calico "Why?" Tinkles "Because I hate you!"
The whole film is good for families, but as a PG, parents might want to check it first, because of the fight scenes. There are also sad and suspensful parts of the film, and these mixed together with humour can't fail to make an enjoyable film.

Advantages: The DVD is fairly cheap to buy and is accessible in most shops. It keeps children entertained. Disadvantages: It make cats look bad and children believe anything.
