I went to see this about a week ago with high expectations because my brother (trancemaniac) had gone to see it and he had said it was really quite funny and he’s quite cynical about films, which have creatures that talk. As a plus the cats were the evil side, which suits their character perfectly (as you’ve probably guessed I don’t like cats) and I’m not saying that because I’ve seen the film!
Basically cats try to take over the world and the dogs are secret agents who try to stop them. It’s good against evil, it’s tail against…well…tail and it’s canine against feline. Who will win? Find out for yourself at the cinema or wait about three-quarters of a year to a year to get it on video. Personally I would take the cinema option…hint…hint…OH COME ON…get off your backside and get down to your nearest cinema (ahem…no offence intended).
It’s a classic film for everyone to watch over and over again (especially all you dog-lovers out there). The animation in some sections of the film are exceptionally excellent. A great example is the Russian cat and that’s all I’m going to say about it so you’ll just have to GO AND SEE IT to find out what I’m talking about.
I’m sorry this is an extremely short opinion but I think I’ve covered all the necessary points to give you the overall impression of the film. I just can’t say much more apart from…yes…you’ve guessed it…GO AND SEE Cats & Dogs NOW! :-)
