This movie was hilarious. I think they did a great job transfering the book into a movie since the cast and the character matched up perfectly. the bonus features were great. I really loved all of the colors in this movie and the shapes, they matched the book perfectly. I would deffinetly recomend this movie to adults and teens, but I would not recomend this to children. Yes, its a kids movie, but it has very adult humor. It might be ok for younger children who dont understand the concept of the humor in this movie, but older kids might walk around copying the phrases in this movie and might just get themselves in a lot of trouble. Overall though, as a DVD, I would deffinetly recomend this movie. Its hilarious. ...

This movie is very similar to the book and just as enjoyable. I remember reading this book as a child and then watching this movie as an adult gave me a lot of enjoyment. I always loved Dr. Seuss books. His movies are also excellent. The movies entertain the children and adults as well.
Watching the movie starts out with the children watching the raining and their mother is not home. Then they get a visitor who is a mischevious cat who walks on two legs and has a funny hat on. The cat want to juggle and show the children all kinds of tricks but the cat ends up getting the house messy. There is water all over the house and then the children worry about cleaning up the house. Then the cat performs all kinds of miracles. ...

I first came across this film when my boyfriend bought me it as a present one day. I sat down to watch and found myself not just laughing the whole way though but repeating all the funny voices! With Mike Myers as the voice over, it adds to the comedy of the film!
The Film
This film came out in 2004 and was released as an animation film which is certainly correct! The film starts with two children who live with their mother and on a cold wet day they find themselves bored with nothing to do.
The daughter is very sophisticated and enjoys being her mothers pet, whereas her brother who is older than him is very opposite. He finds himself sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags and being generally mischievous.
The cat then comes in and starts off the fun ...
