Carry On Cowboy was made in 1965 & was the team's chance to get to play cowboys & indians ! I really can't stand Westerns, so this put me off a bit, but the Carry On team did a pretty good job overall. Sid James & Angela Douglas are the stars of the film for me, with Sid playing Johnny Finger / The Rumpo Kid very convincingly, proving what a good actor he really was. Angela Douglas provides a touch of glamour as Annie Oakley, but also gets to do her bit for equal rights as a gun-toting feisty cowgirl ! Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks to the film. Bernard Bresslaw's huge talents are wasted as Little Heap, with Charles Hawtrey only coming off a bit better as Big Heap. Kenneth Williams is also irritating as Judge Burke. So it has its faults, but it's pretty good & is worth watching.
