...A remake of Georges Bizet's famous opera, Carmen Jones was originally a play on Broadway which ran throughout the late '40s and early '50s. The film director, Otto Preminger loved its so much that he decided it should be made available to a wider audience. He had his wish. Carmen Jones was released at the cinema in 1954.
THE ORIGINAL STORY
For those that are not familiar with the original Carmen, I'll run through the story briefly. Based in Seville, Carmen is a cigarette factory worker who oozes charisma and sexual prowess. Luring the handsome and naive soldier, Don Jose, away from his sweet fiancée, Micaëla, Carmen thinks she's in love. However, she meets her match in the egotistical matador, Escamillo and abandons Don Jose for a more fiery romance. Still obsessed with Carmen, Don Jose becomes hell bent on revenge with tragic...

Advantages: Fun easy way to get fit Disadvantages: Not many-no nudity
...Judging by the title I was looking foward to some red hot carmen action and when I realised there was none, my dissapointment was overshadowed by the entertainment and toning work out I got from the dvd. Its a good simple work out and you can finally enjoy exercise by starring at Carmen in a tight outfit for over an hour-not bad. Although the cheesy soundtrack leaves alot to be desired, enjoyment and the agonising pain of a six-pack work out session does not come together often. Since buying it I watch it religiously twice a week for a good workout and some stress relief and it really does the trick. Overall I would recommend this to anyone wanting a fun easy workout as demonstrated by some great eye candy, however don't get confused by the title-it's not a porno....

Advantages: Good explained Disadvantages: Has one step error in it which I recognized only after the third time
.... Not that bad actually.
You will find an interview and a photo gallery of Carmen.
The routines are very effective and my muscles were aching after the first few times. The routines in total last an hour. For a few routines you also need a chair as a prop.
I have done it now for while and can see how my body changed. It looks better and I am definately much more toned now.
I got addicted to it.
I have tried a few other DVD´s of this series but I think this is by far the best as the others are mainly showing how to do a good strip.
I got it from amazon.co.uk but I am sure on ebay you can get it for less....
