Carlos Santana Presents Blues At Montreux 2004 (DVD)

Advantages: A must for Star Wars and Family Guy fans. And everyone else
Disadvantages: Probably could have been included on Season DVD

...Anyone who has watched Family Guy for any period of time will be quite aware that creator Seth MacFarlane is a massive nerd. His Star Wars obsession will likely not have gone unnoticed either, if you don't believe me check the DVD special feature showing his favourite holy trilogy jokes included in past series. Here he gets to go all out though, casting his characters in an animated re... imagining (for lack of a better word) of the original Star Wars feature, A New Hope. Peter gets to be Hans Solo, with Lois as Princess Leia, Chris as Luke, and my personal favourite, Cleveland and Quagmire as R2D2 and C3PO respectivly. If this on its own dosn't make you want rush out and buy this DVD I don't know what will. And with this package you get his two most influential and inspirational albums. Carlos Santana changed the world of Latin American Rock with his own unique playing style which was first really appreciated in Woodstock' 69. The album Santana - Santana--- released in the later summer of 1969 was his first Album and confirmed his unbelievable talent. With the core band in place Gregg Rolie - Keyboards/vocals, David Brown- Bass, Mike Shrieve- Drums and Jose Areas and Mark Carabello - Percussion --- Santana began his (and it's) walk along the path to history. Advantages: Great tracks and guest stars

...Supernatural is the 1999 album from the Mexican Latin sensation Carlos Santana. It is said that this album kickstarted his career after a faltering from the guitar supremo in the mid-1990s. It is a magnificent collection of music with Latin and Cuban themes, and incorporates the musical talents of modern genius minds such as Wyclef Jean, Eric Clapton and Eagle-Eye Cherry. Track 5 'Smooth', featuring the vocal talents of Matchbox Twenty lead singer Rob Thomas was a massive interntaional hit. The album itself has gone 15 times platinum, and has won 9 Grammy awards. I really like this album, particularly Everlast's invlovement in track 2, 'Put Your Lights On'.
