Pixar's world where cars do the talking and the racing is turned upside down when Lightning McQueen is lost in Radiator Springs.
The plot of this film is , in my opinion, unsurprising, but it does bring together a diverse mix of characters. As with many [all?] Pixar productions, this is ultimately a feel-good movie.
There are elements of the film that will please different age groups at different levels; I enjoyed the film as an adult, and my children took different elements of enjoyment from it.
Finally, as with all PIxar movies in my experience, the animation, music score, and voice acting is impeccale good.
In summary, this is a feel-good movie aimed at older pre-teens, that has something that younger children can enjoy, and is so easy to watch that teens and above would find this a relaxing and fun film. ...

Advantages: The soundtrack Disadvantages: The characters aren't very strong
When I first watched this film, I thought it was a loud of rubbish. At the time I was convinced it was probably the worst Disney film that I had seen and wasn't bothered about watching it again any time soon. Noah had other plans and I am currently watching it for the hundredth time! I am not sure if it's a case of becoming familiar with something and quite liking it but this film has really grown on me.
The film is based around a famous race car, Lightening Maclean, who gets lost and finds himself in a small town on Route 66 called Radiator Springs. He ends up having to stay in the town after getting arrested and being ordered to fix the road that he broke as a result of wreckless driving. He is desperate to leave and get back in time to win the Piston Cup but as time goes on he makes some great friends. Will he stay and build ...

Director Michael Schultz follows up his critically acclaimed and commercially successful 'Cooley High' with this hilarious day-in-the-life tale set in modern day Los Angeles. At Sully Boyar's car wash, a juvenile, motley crew of city dwellers work their fingers to the bone waiting on the eccentric and sometimes haughty clientele. Throughout the day, the young men find time to indulge in personal pursuits: one fellow fantasises about the pretty waitress working at a local restaurant, a militant preaches politics, and the more disgruntled workers find a way to justify their laziness. As the day wears on, the many levels of oppression that control each individual's lives gradually become apparent. Luckily, Schultz and screenwriter Joel Schumacher don't dwell on the potentially depressing aspects of their subject matter proving that sometimes laughter is the best medicine, they stuff their film with enough verbal, visual, and situational humor to keep the audience laughing throughout. This can also be attributed to the performances by the all-star ensemble of performers, including Franklin Ajaye, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Bill Duke, and Garrett Morris. Cementing the deal is the film's soundtrack, which features the soulful music of diva Rose Royce.
