    Advantages Advantages great casting and central performences, well written and directed, great ending

    Martin Scorcese's 1991 remake of the 1964 film Cape Fear concerns an attorney who finds himeself and his family terrorised after a deranged criminal he put away for murder gets out of jail and sets about seeking his revenge upon his former defence lawyer who, knowing his guilt, knowingly put forward a flawed defence case that lead to his conviction. The film has a superb cast, with a young Juliette Lewis putting in a convincing performance as Nolte's teenage daughter, who runs into danger of falling victim to the predation of Deniro's convicted rapist, whilst the nailbiting tension between ... more
