Scarface is my all-time favorite film, Starring Al Pacino as gangland mobster Tony Montana. His rise from the rough streets of Cuba to the top of Miami's drug fuelled empire. Tony Montana wanted it all wealth, power and control, he was living this life, which they call the American Dream.
This film is surely a true great. It's greed for wealthness would make you envious. There's always a saying for people like Tony, ' the person that wants too much from life, risk ...

Advantages: good horror flick Disadvantages: none, just good film
A young student HELEN (virgina marsden) investigates the link between reallity and fantassy. There is a rumour in the Cabrini Green about a man called candyman (tony todd), and if you say his name five times in the mirror he will appear and kill you. The stories seem far fetched at first but as the story progresses more murders start happening, and HELEN always end up at the scene with a blooded instument, and its left for the auidence to decide is it candyman doing the killing or HELEN. this is one of Clive Barkers first films and I would reccomend it.
The story behind candyman himself is that he was a slave and fell in love with the slave owners daughter and when the owner found out him and a possie of men covered him in candy and honey and let a swarm of bees sting him to death while they burnt him alive. ...

Advantages: Stacks upon stacks of extra features. Disadvantages: Unecessary inclusion of 4:3 ratio version.
Now, Men in Black was already a superb film. What has always been good about it is it's perfect suitability to just plonk yourself down and watch it on the spur of the moment.
With the incredible amount of extra features included on this DVD you will be plonking yourself down for a considerable time to come.
All of the features are perfectly matched to the style of the film. My particular favourites are the out-takes (an excellent one involving the out of control ball seen - without the ball) and the scene editing workshop. At least you can have a go at putting a film together.
My only criticism is that the whole DVD fills you with a feeling of greed and you can't help but want more. ...
The thesis research of folklore graduate student Helen Lyle (Virginia Madsen) leads her into the urban underworld of Chicago's Cabrini Green housing projects. There the residents are genuinely terrified of Candyman (Tony Todd), a legendary figure with a hook for a hand. Skeptical, she 'summons' him in front of a mirror and discovers with horror that he's real and very deadly.
"...The imagination of Clive Barker is authentically strange....[Madsen is] enterprising..." (New York Times, p.C10, 16/10/1992)
"...The Candyman cometh, and terror fans rejoice. Finally, a modern-day bogeyman who pierces the psyche..." (USA Today, p.7D, 16/10/1992)

This surprisingly taut horror thriller is based on Clive Barker's THE FORBIDDEN. Barker also executive-produces.
