Advantages: Funny and entertaining, stars Lindsay Lohan! Disadvantages: It's mainly aimed towards teenage girls
...I have watched this film many times and it never gets old. Despite being aimed at teenage girls who can relate to the characters roles, I think anybody will enjoy it. There are some really funny moments and is a film for anybody. It has a nice plot to follow.
This film is directed by Mark Waters, who although has directed other films, this would be his most famous, with Freaky Friday following.
Lindsay Lohan stars as Candy Heron, an african-raised girl who has been home schooled for 15 years. Now her parents have moved to America where Candy attends High School.

Advantages: Hilariously funny! John Candy, John Hughes & Steve Martin. Disadvantages: DVD version has no added features
...~* Introduction *~
Director John Hughes made quite a few comedy films in the 80’s, Hughes’s best films all starred the late comedy genius John Candy. Along with Uncle Buck I’d say Planes, Trains and Automobiles are John Hughes best films, and John Candy’s best films too.

...John Candy (rest his soul) stars in this funny movie as the big guy who has to look after everything.
Unfortunately it doesn’t go quite according to plan!
There are lots and lots of havoc that you would expect to see in a John Candy movie and not very many deep meaningful moments.
The mishaps that surround him (well.. in nearly all of his movies he’s surrounded by mishaps), are quite funny and light hearted.
This is a great one to let the kids watch during the holidays or on a wet day....
