...Fame, however in an American camp for gifted singers, actors, etc. The singing I found was very good for the most part - my favorite parts being the shows the children performed in the film. I found this a quite an enjoyable film. Its not to be taken too seriously, its along similar lines to Fame, however in an American camp for gifted singers, actors, etc. The singing I found was very good for the most part - my favorite parts being the shows the children performed in the film. The realistic sideline story is very good also showing you a bit of an insight of what it is like to attend one of these summer camps. The love story aspect was quite good from all angles showing the complexity of relationships between heterosexual and gay relationships both from a friendship and dating angle.
This is a film I would recommend to others, however I do have to admit it isn't up to the same standard as the recent High School Musical films, but none the less worth a peek.

To be honest I only found the special features satisfactory and only of some interest, obviously I was more interested in the film. However I did find the live performance interesting as well as the deleted scenes, which I do enjoy watching - sometimes thats the best bit of the special features which add to the story seeing what they have cut out.
All in all I would say this is a very good DVD, good film, standard extras, but still worth getting.
Advantages: good songs and lyrics Disadvantages: bad story and singing
i thought this film was ok however i did find it lacking in originality. its your tipical teenagers go away to camp. try to fit in. fall in love. fall out. then get back together for the happy ending. its very like fame but modernised. i didnt enjoy it at all. the songs and lyrics however are quiet good and have meaning behind them. this film has got the potential to be good
however i also found the singing very poor which i wasn't expecting. i ...

Advantages: Good fun, light comedy, entertaining. Disadvantages: Predictable.
The Confessions films have not stood the test of time as well as the Carry On films, but I still enjoy them and am not afraid to admit it. I recently bought the new DVD boxset of the four films, which was released earlier this month. One of the films is Confessions From A Holiday Camp, which was released in the cinema in 1977.
The Confessions films (and books) are based around the exploits (or 'sexploits'!) of Timothy Lea played by Robin Askwith and Sidney Noggett played by Anthony Booth - now better known as the Prime Minister's father-in-law! These two actors work together very well and the success of the films is largely due to them.
Robin Askwith has a roguish charm and an endearing 'cheeky chappie' persona, which has lasted him well during his career and - if the rumours are true - will soon see him with a regular role in ...

♥♥ American Pie Presents Band Camp ♥♥
American Pie Presents Band Camp is a comedy/romance film which was released in October 2005. The film was directed by Steve Rash who also directed Bring It On All Or Nothing (2006) and Bring It On In It To Win It (2007). American Pie Presents Band Camp has a BBFC rating of 15 because the film contains some sexual content, nudity, crude humour and language which isn't suitable for younger viewers. American Pie Presents Band Camp has an estimated run time of approximately 94 minutes.
Band Camp doesn't really have a huge plot basically the film mainly focuses around Matt Stifler (Steve Stifler's younger brother) who gets caught messing around with the school band's musical instruments. After he is caught he is sent to the school counsellor who is Sherman aka ...

DVD Description
Todd Graff's crowd-pleasing directorial debut pays tribute to summer camps, musical theatre, and Stephen Sondheim. The heartwarming comedy follows a group of youngsters who gather together for another summer at Camp Ovation, a refuge in upstate New York that nurtures aspiring performers. This year, the arrival of Vlad (Daniel Letterle) gets everyone's juices flowing. There's the pretty, but shy, Ellen (Joanna Chilcoat); the oversensitive Michael (Robin De Jesus); the stuck up Jill (Alana Allen); the tormented, overweight Jenna (Tiffany Taylor); the scheming Fritzi (Anna Kendrick); and the beautiful Dee (Sasha Allen). In awe of the camp's guest instructor, Bert Hanley (Don Dixon), Vlad is crushed to discover that he has become a bitter, cynical alcoholic. Amidst the raging hormones and daily melodramas, the kids must nonetheless concentrate on the task at hand, which includes staging the summer's final production. Determined not to succumb to Bert's negative influence, Vlad convinces everyone to stage a performance that will inspire everyone. Using a cast of incredibly talented unknowns, Graff makes certain that each budding superstar has their moment to shine. Shifting between comedy and drama in the span of a single scene, Graff also packs CAMP with enough in-jokes and musical numbers to make for a highly entertaining experience.
