...It was my Dads birthday a few weeks ago now and my auntie bought him a copy of the Manchester United official movie on DVD, it's been out quite a while now but we enjoyed watching it. Me and my dad being serious United fans, we sat down and watched it.
We bought the copy of 'The Treble' on DVD too and were very impressed by that, but this is what we thought of 'Beyond The Promised Land'...
The DVD is basically the behind-the-scenes story of Manchester Uniteds ups and downs of the previous 99/00 season. (That was 2 seasons ago now) The movie shows all the facts, filming and behind-the-scenes gossip which doesen't seem that appealing but is pretty good for what it's worth.
The DVD starts with the great, fond memories from Munich, the replay of the last two goals for united in the un-dying last 2 minutes of the match that gave...

Advantages: One of all the time great satires, very underrated...with a terrific soundtrack Disadvantages: many will probably disagree with me when I say it's the one cult film that is better than Rocky Horror
...For those of you who don't remember the novel Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann it became a runaway bestseller in the 1960s, and was eventually adapted to the screen in 1967---and was hailed as one of the decades' worst films. KILL! KILL!, to do a semi-spoof of it. The script was written by---of all people---Roger Ebert and in 1970, BEYOND THE VALLEY OF DOLLS was released and caused a small, but loyal, crowd of fans, and was named by two prominant critics as of the best films of the decade (1968-1978).
I've considered the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW for years the greatest cult film of all time...well, all I can say is after...

Advantages: Wide view of Picture as intended for cinemas Disadvantages: Unsuitable view for Portable DVD's
...The third and final part (as of yet) of the Die Hard series and Bruce Willis is back this time alongside Samuel L Jackson.
This Widescreen version is suitable for anyone who's television set as the ability to show widescreen pictures. With this you can see more of the film has it was intended to be seen at the cinema. Sometimes films are cut to fit onto standard screen sizes. The film is probably the best of the three films and Jackson gives Willis a run for his money in the action scenes.
The Villian played by Jeremy Irons although not as good has Alan Rickman in the first Die Hard film does an excellent potrayal of a German villian. If you are a fan of the series but have only watched them on television (with adverts betwween) then go and purchase this film and see how it was intended to be seen....
