Not here as much - you will see me elsewhere on a R&R site, but I'm not finding the time to come here as often. I will still pop across and do the occasional review.

"Who are you? Who? Who? Who? Who?......"
From the moment the song begins to play, you're left in no doubt that CSI:Vegas has started.
This is the original in the series of two other spin off shows (CSI:Miami and CSI:NY).
The show focuses on the cases of the Crime Investigation Divison of the Las Vegas Police Department. They are commonly known as CSI's from the Las Vegas Crime Lab. The episodes often features scenes in which tests, autopsy's and other technical work with little or no sound background and often minimal dialogue. This does mean you do get quite a high content of graphic violence, images, and sexual content that has rarely been seen in other programs before.
The first season has 23 episodes, including a two parter pilot which opens with an explosive plotline, whereby a CSI newly hired is shot. This then allows for the introduction of Sara Sidle, who became a series regular.
There are another 23 episodes in the following 3 seasons, and a slight increase to 25 episodes in season 5.
Most episodes usually have 2 unrelated cases running concurrently, but occasionally they will focus on one crime through the whole episode. They can also come back to and refer to previous episodes, linking from cases either previously solved, or in some instances without a resolution. Sometimes this can cross over seasons. One advantage of having the box set of all these seasons is if you watch in order over a short time period, it helps follow these events even more.
Although not universal, CSI is praised by fans and some critics
for its constantly gripping storylines, sometimes inspired by real cases, although some techniques used aren't standard but enhanced ideas done for cinematographic purposes.
The main characters are:
Gil Grissom (William Petersen) who leads the group. Single, often considered eccentric, he is an expert on Bugs and Insects! Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) Second in command - A single mother, who was an exotic dancer and alluded to having used Cocaine. Her estranged father is a well known gangster on the Strip called Sam Braun, casino owner. Nick Stokes (George Eads) is an up and coming CSI, who has a lot of expertise in hair and fibre samples. Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) Someone who came in after the killing of a newbie CSI in the first episode. A previous history of some kind with Grissom, she is resented by some initially. Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) Someone who starts off with a gambling habit, Warrick and Nick Stokes have a friendly rivalry as to their ability as CSI's. Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) Former commander, who was sent back to being a detective after the shooting of a CSI on his watch. Hard nosed, he respects Grissom and the team immensely. Al Robbins (Robert David Hall) The coroner who is a long standing friend of Grissom. Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda) Starts off in the Lab, but soon hankers for more action as a CSI. Eventually becomes part of the team. Sofia Curtis (Louise Lombard) A CSI who became part of Grissoms team a mid-season 5 split. This was basically a demotion and she considered resigning.
The Box set consists of the following Episodes:

I agree with the first comment - also I think rather than listing all the episodes perhaps you could just talk about a few that really stand out to you & the general quality of the shows. But otherwise a good review :-) Ayesha x
