DVD Description
C.R.A.Z.Y. is a French Canadian comedy drama that tells the story of a young man growing up in Montreal in the 1960s and 1970s and his relationships with his parents and siblings. Zackary Beaulieu is born on Christmas Day in 1960, the fourth child in a family of five boys. Zackary tells the story of his escapades growing up with his brothers and his rocky relationship with his father. Features a nostalgic 70s rock soundtrack with songs from the likes of David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, the film is a whimsical fable on the human soul that successfully captures the spirit of the time it is set in. The film is a remarkable and gripping tale from Jean-Marc Vallee (LISTE NOIRE) and stars leading Quebec actor Michel Cote (LE DERNIER TUNNEL). C.R.A.Z.Y. is an immensely entertaining and ambitious cinematic homage to the popular culture prevalent amongst the middle classes in 1970s Montreal that focuses on the unusual lives of an ordinary family searching for happiness.

Advantages: A Fantastic Film Disadvantages: Limited extra's
...lads as they do their best to pay off the debt - otherwise they'll be "counting the fingers they haven't got".
Eventually they decide to rob their next door neighbours.
To illustrate how it works, I will use X, Y, and Z to represent the different groups. X are the four guys that we follow throughout the film. Y are a group of hippies that produce drugs, and Z is the next-door neighbours, real gangsters.
So:
Z rob Y of all of their drugs and money. X then rob Z of the stolen drugs and money in order to pay Hatchet Harry. Z are very angry.
X attempt to sell the drugs and money to Y, not knowing that the drugs were stolen from them in the first place.
It all ends with Y and Z having a violent shootout in which they all die.

The DVD itself can be found in most stores for 10.00 which is an excellent price considering that you will have...

Advantages: Great Story Disadvantages: non-anamorphic
...This movie was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, and as such, it was with some trepidation that I ordered it. A long time fan of sci-fi I was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a tale, which is both disturbing (characteristically Cronenberg) and highly comical (the running dog delivery and cApitaliSation jokes.) Equally nice is the presentation, with the image (although non-anamorphic) being crisp and sharp throughout. The sound stage is dialogue centric, but opens up the rears to great effect in the final sequences. So far as extras go, this is another example of the emerging trend of identical, if not superior R2 releases. On a par with the acclaimed Canadian release, but benefiting from PAL`s higher resolution, we are treated to 3 commentaries and a good documentary. The only features going against this disc...
