Buzz battles the evil Emperor Zurg, who steals the "Unimind", a device that enables three-eyed aliens to function as a single intellect. The aliens, referred to as "LGMs" (little green men), form the support crew that keep Star Command running, but as individual thinkers, they're inept. During the course of this tongue-in-cheek adventure, Buzz acquires the sidekicks who form Team Lightyear: Booster, an oversized, overeager alien; XR (short for "Experimental Ranger"), one of the aliens' less successful robot inventions; and the inevitable spunky girl, Princess Mira Nova of the planet Tangeah. The two-dimensional, hand-drawn figure of the three-dimensional, computer-generated Buzz recalls the animated versions of live performers who populated Saturday morning TV during the 1980s. This adventure is typical of current kidvid: it has more special effects and sight gags than the cartoons of 20 years ago did, butthe violence-free battles feel very tame. The adventure begins!
Bought this for my three year old son who is Toy Story and especially Buzz Lightyear mad.
This is full length animated cartoon - length 67 minutes. In widescreen format.
Zurg and his henchmen have invaded the Little Green Mens Planet to take over the universe and Buzz and the Space Ranger cadets try and save the day. The voice of Buzz is the 'Toy Story' original Tim Allen.
Any fan would love the cartoon and has spend hours in space with Buzz - All a parent really needs for a bit of peace.
The story is entertaining and engaging - great pressy or stocking filler! The DVD also includes an interactive comic book.
Surf the net and you can get this for a very reasonable price.

...an adventure with the 'real' Buzz Lightyear. Buzz Loses his partner Warp Darkmatter in action during the opening scenes of the film when they tru to rescue 3 lost LGMs (Little Green Men) from Star Command.
Buzz (voice by Tim Allen) discovers that the evil Emperor Zurg is behind the abduction (of course). He plans to turn the entire Universe evil by using the LGM's 'unamind' device.
Like many adults, I loved Toy Story I and II. However, this release ... ...two movies.
Firstly, although Woody et al are on the box, they only appear in a brief (albeit amusing) computer animated introduction. There are, however, a number of amusing new characters introduced. The movie is presented in ordinary cartoon animation rather than computer animation, which does not compare and is surely a step backwards. However, that having been said, the kids will love it!
