, cluttering up the kitchen but the man is comic genius, and Animals is one of his best shows.
I saw the show live, and the DVD has been watched numerous times. It is still hard not to raise a smile when Ricky explains to the audience about this new theory that contradicts Darwin's version of events that he 'found in a dusty old book in the library'... 'It's called the bible.. '.. 'And it's called The Gospel - so it must be true - clue's in the name!'
The show goes on, covering everything from Sharks and Nazis - "sharks good, nazis less so.." to homosexuality in the jungle and of course the tale of Adam and Eve and how the poor snake was forced to crawl on his belly for the rest of his days - "not the worst possible punishment for a snake.." A fabulous DVD and a wonderful show. Check out the 'extras' on the DVD if you are still unconvinced ...
Advantages: The performances of the two leads and some excellent direction. Disadvantages: An ending that betrays the early convictions of the film.
Whilst Training Day failed to make a significant impact at the UK Box Office, the acclaim induced by an Oscar winning performance by Denzel Washington ensured that it?s DVD sales have been much more impressive. Director Alonzo Fuqua introduces us to a myriad of complex moral issues that face undercover police officers ...
Advantages: Friendly service, gets you where you need to go! Disadvantages: Becoming expensive!
Stagecoach are the primary providers of public transport in my area (East
Midlands). Obviously all areas, buses, drivers, prices are different so I can only comment on my area's service.
I have been using buses as my main form of transport for a few years now although hopefully this will be my last year as I have just bought a beautiful little car called Jasmine (now all I need is to pass my test!).
Stagecoach run around 90% of all buses in my area and some routes have buses as often as every 5 minutes - that is a lot of buses! The bus routes cover almost all areas and almost any where you go in the area you are never more than a 3 min walk to a bus stop. Not bad, eh?
Obviously this is a mammoth task and inevitably goes wrong sometimes. Actually, a lot of the time. There are frequently buses missed out, usually at morning ...
