This is the worst Buffy I have ever seen. From the stupid misunderstandings of what the O-Zone layer is, to the horrible clothes worn by Buffy. There must be some explanation for her thinking that lush yellow leather jacket is some look to go by.
I don't see how anyone can find any of the characters attractive, or how anyone could stand the type of valley-speak the characters use. (''Mr Howard is so heinous'', for example).
If you have the DVD, skip forward to Scene 26 to watch the most confusing part of the movie - Buffy is about to stab a vampire, but gets interrupted by another vampire playing violin. She proceeds to kill the vampire, who dies pathetically, while the violinist continues to play. You get to see the vampire finally die after the end credits roll.
Candy Clark, who plays Buffy's mom, is a very bad actress in my opinion, and is nothing like the Joyce Summers who we come to know in the series.
The story was bad, the character performance was worse, the special efects didn't even seem to exist. The songs were irritating. I'd have to call this the worst movie I have ever seen.
I think watching this movie was really a waste of my time.
If you're a fan of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, you should probably try to see it, but don't be too disappointed by how bad it is.
