The Glory of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 5 - Complete DVD by amytheduck

Advantages: Great plot arc, great characters and storylines
Disadvantages: None

Season five of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is bigger, better and more ambitious than any that came before it. With what appears to be an undefeatable opponent, a new little sister and her mother's illness, Buffy has a lot to deal with. I don't want to repeat the general information I put into my review of seasons one, two, three and four, so I'll just jump straight into reviewing the characters and episodes. Check my profile for my reviews of the first ...
...--Episodes-- Episode One: Buffy vs. Dracula The episode title is pretty self-explanatory: Dracula comes to town to seek out the famous vampire Slayer, and soon begins to hold Buffy under his thrall. This episode begins one of the threads that runs through this season - the idea of what exactly a slayer is. There's also a bit of a surprise at the end of the episode... Episode Two: Real Me Buffy's sister Dawn is introduced properly in this episode, ... Read review

BUFF GETS TOUGH
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 5 - Complete DVD by Simmer

Advantages: humorous, dramatic, gripping, full of action
Disadvantages: none that I know of

...really in the wrong category. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is not a childrens' show - not in any way, shape or form. Season 5 deals with violence, death and sex. The box set has a 15 rating, so I'd just like to warn you that this is not a program to sit your nine year old children in front of. So, I'll start by explaining what Buffy the Vampire Slayer is, for those of you who have never watched before. "In every generation there is a chosen one - she ...
...guide and train her, and Buffy has the stuffy and British Giles. Buffy doesn't exactly follow the rules - she doesn't go into battle alone. Ever since she was 16, her friends Xander and Willow have helped her do battle with many things that go bump in the night. Things are no different now the Slayerettes are getting into their 20s - but they now have different interests. Willow has discovered the joys of magick, and has discovered that she is "kinda ... Buffy season 5.1 and 5.2
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 5 - Complete DVD by Lovely

Advantages: Excellent, can watch over and over again
Disadvantages: watched to much can wear out the tape

Like most Buffy the vampire slayer fans i'm addicted, but unlike some not many people can get all the video sets, thats why I find reading these opinions very helpful and give me alot of information before I buy some videos. Sorry but Buffy I buy all the time. So heres some info on season 5.1 box set. Buffy vs Dracula: Buffy's path crosses the infamous vampire of all time Dracula himself. Buffy must stop herself from being taken under his control ...
...Real Me: The tension between Buffy and her sister Dawn heats up and Buffy finds herself resenting Dawn's presence, until she has to rescue her from Harmony and her (I laugh at this bit all the time) gang. The Replacement: A demon Toth tries to destroy Buffy but is unsuccessful, he gets Xander instead splitting him into 2 Xanders, each with a different side of his personality. Both Xanders try to convince everyone that he is the real Xander. Buffy ... Read review

what can i say? it just keeps on getting better!!!
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 5 - Complete DVD by kellsc1

Advantages: humourous, action packed, the best series yet
Disadvantages: absolutely non

Buffy vs Dracula gets the humour vote in this series, Xanders first encounter with Dracula still makes me laugh with his sesame street count impression. We have the introduction of Buffy's sister, Dawn- A teen that does nothing but whine and impose on Buffy's time. Glory- Hell God intent on recovering her key to the Hell dimension she rules over which was hidden by the monks. The Knights of the Byzantium- Intent on destroying the key and anyone ...
...opening.And finally Ben- Hospital doctor with a secret. There are odd episodes scattered about but this is definately the best story line; with Glory making people insane to keep herself on our plane. The watchers council on Buffy's case, Spike's proclaimation of love, Riley's road to recovery, Xander being made into two, and further discoveries of the past of some of the main characters ie: Tara and Anya. There are sad parts too, Joyce becomes ... Read review

Buffy Season 5 is the best season yet
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 5 - Complete DVD by MisterKewl

Advantages: More interaction between the Scooby gang than last season
Disadvantages: None that I could see

...on, everything gets explained and Buffy must face her strongest opponent ever. This season also goes in a lot more detail about feelings, especially when the whole gang are faced with the death of someone close to them. If you like Buffy for the action, then maybe you're better off watching Angel. But if you like Buffy for the passion, the humour and the plot twists, then grab some tissues, sit down and get ready for the best season yet. ... Read review

Buffy - season 5
Review of Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 5 - Complete DVD by  ciaofluffymuppet

Advantages: Same great Buffy
Disadvantages: Very downbeat

...Plot Season 5 is my least favourite Buffy season. Buffy's world is even darker than usual. To begin with, she's the only person who seems surprised that she has a sister - Dawn. Buffy and Dawn cope together as their mother becomes ill, but Buffy leaves Riley out in the cold and their relationship begins to falter. Not only is there no hope for Buffy's mum, but there's a new 'big bad' in town, and she's even tougher than Buffy. It turns out that Glory is a god, and nothing like the baddies that Buffy has fought before. With Joyce dead, and Riley gone, Buffy is left to face the truth - there's no way she and the gang can beat Glory. There's only one option left for Buffy to take. DVD boxset information 6 DVDs, 22 episodes and lots of special features: Disc 1 - Script for 'The Replacement', commentary for 'Real Me' Disc... Read review
