Season 4 sees Buffy played by Sarah Michelle Geller fighting evil in a different setting, college. Starting with her demon roomate who is stealing Buffy's soul in an attempt to avoid being found by her demonic father and his followers!
The season also sees the break up of Willow and Oz's releationship, also featuring Willow's new found releationship with Tara, a fellow witch. Willows magical abilities grow in abundance in this season, culminating in a spell being cast which combines Giles, Willow, Xander and Buffy's essences together to form a super slayer to fight the big baddie!
The big baddie is Adam. A pschotic hybrid made up of demon and human parts who is bent on making his own hybrid army to basically reek havoc and destruction upon the world. (Familiar:P) How did this Adam come to be you ask? Well it gets crazier, turns out that camped underneath Sunnydale is a government programme which is killing and capturing demons to study them, and make them more human friendly i guess. They are the ones who put the chip in Spike's head!
The season also sees the new love interest in Buffy's life, Riley. Riley works for teh government programme, however Buffy doesn't know this to begin with. When she finds out tis all fun and games from there, firstly she joins them to help out, then the head of the initiative, who also happens to be Buffy's psych 101 teacher, Maggie Walsh, tries to kill Buffy. No worries tho, in the end Maggie is killed by her demon creation Adam, nice ot know he's grateful for being created.
Featuring the famous episode Hush, as well as a lot of other amazing episodes this has to be a part of every Buffy lovers collection.
The only downside I can think of is that there arent enough episodes in the boxset!
Definately good value for money now that the prices have gone down! An ideal Christmas pressie!

For once, Dudo's making some good points. Structure is always a good thing. I'm halfway through watching this (willow and oz just split up! agh!!) and it's probably my favourite season, for sure.

Welcome to Ciao - Sorry about the low rating...You need to give me more background as this is Season 4...there is nothing about the cast... the concept behind...the music nr anything about DVD extras...I think this review needs more work....check out other reviews from other members on the topic and learn from them...and if you re-write I will re-rate. Tx
