This Episode is part of Series Six of this collection. The DVD is ok as a stand alone episode but to full enjoy it you will need some knowledge of what has gone on before as there are a lot of references to events in previous shows. However, it is possible to watch and understand this episode without seeing any of the others.
The songs vary from rock to love songs so no matter what kind of music you like there will be a song in here for you!
~*~ The Plot ~*~
In this episode everyone suddenly starts singing and dancing! The whole area turns into a musical! The 'team' Buffy, Giles, Willow, Tara, Xander and Anya all get to work to try and figure out what's causing it. They come out with various suggestions varying from demons to bunnies!! To start with they don't see the change as too much of a problem, although they realise that they have to work out what's causing it… However when people start self-combusting due to the dancing then the situation becomes more urgent!
~*~ The Actors and their Voices ~*~
Sarah Michelle Geller as Buffy Nicholas Brendon as Xander Emma Caulfield as Anya Michelle Trachtenberg as Dawn James Marsters as Spike Alyson Hannigan as Willow Anthony Stewart as Giles
Their singing ability is mixed, some have really strong voices while others leave a bit to be desired!! However, the mixture of songs and the way they combine the voices in songs the sing as a group means that this doesn't matter.
~*~ Tracks ~*~
I wont go into too much detail on the tracks here as that will come in a later review on the soundtrack but I will list the songs on here:
Overture/Going Through The Motions I've Got A Theory/Bunnies/If We're Together The Mustard Under Your Spell I'll Never Tell The Parking Ticket Rest In Peace Dawn's Lament Dawn's Ballet What You Feel Standing Under Your Spell/Standing - Reprise Walk Through The Fire Something To Sing About What You Feel - Reprise Where Do We Go From Here?
~*~ Features ~*~
Buffy Featurette - This was good, it gives you insight into why they came up with the idea of a Musical episode and how they made it
Angel Featurette - This was ok, but I find it a bit boring and never mange to watch it all the way through to the end … not a huge angel fan!
Dark Angel Interview - I haven't really watched this … again, not a huge angel fan
Trailers - Adverts … need I say more?

i thought about buying this before Season 6 was available (as I do love the episode it's one of my favourites) but as you say it's not really worth it, although the cheapest I've seen it is 6 quid, and I was tempted again then. It's a bit like the Angel and Buffy best of collections, for the completest like me they'd be nice to have, but as I've already got the complete seasons, I really don't need them....
