Advantages: Good action packed film Disadvantages: Not really
...take the lead role of Broken Arrow but he copes well with the part as the US Air Force officer Vic Deakins the pilot of a B-3 Stealth bomber.
This is an unlikely story as the good old US of A claims that all its arsenal of nuclear weapons are safe from being nicked, hijacked or lost. Oh! Yeah!
The opening scene with John Travolta in a boxing ring hammering ten bells out of Riley Hale (Christian Slater) doesn’t give much of a clue to what ... ...develops that the two ring protagonists are set to fly an exercise mission carrying two live nuclear weapons. The exercise is to determine the efficiency of the bomber’s stealth mode so it beggars the question – why carry nuclear weapons. Then it became clear to me. No weapons – no film.
Out in the desert a park ranger comes across some campers and after a brief verbal exchange the park ranger shoots them both leaving one falling ...

Advantages: Good cast. Credible acting. Disadvantages: John Woo can do better.
Broken Arrow - 1996 - Twentieth Century Fox Starring - John Travolta, Christian Slater, Samantha Mathis, Vondie Curtis-Hall. Director - John Woo. First Impressions - I first saw this film on TV. I hadn't really noticed it existed until then, however I taped it and enjoyed it very much. I then did what I normally do, go out and buy the original video and added it to my collection. Since then I have watched it many times and even though I rate it as ... ...not the best. Don't let this put you off though, it is a good film to watch when you want a night in with a few beers, or when you are bored. Minor description of plot - The film starts in a boxing ring in a USAF base in Utah. The two main actors in the film, Vic Deakins (John Travolta) and Riley Hale (Christian Slater) are pilots in the USAF. They are having a sparring match to fill in the spare time and keep up their levels of fitness. Deakins ...

Advantages: Fair amount of action, Semi entertaining, Christian Slater looks good lol Disadvantages: Formulaic, predictable, a bit daft at times
This is an action film starring Christian Slater and John Travolta as two US airforce pilots. Vic Deakins (played by Travolta) turns nasty when he decides out of greed to attempt to get a huge amount of cash from the government by stealing two nuclear warheads and asking for huge amounts of money for their safe return or he'll set them off causing mass devastation.
However, thingsdon't go too smoothly for Deakins when he realises his old partner ... ...killed when he got control of the bombs, appears back on the scene and is determined to disarm the warheads.
However, Hale isn't on his own, as when he wakes up after having landed hap hazardly in the desert, he's spotted by a park ranger, who's pretty shocked at having found someone in such a barren landscape and is worried what their motives may be. The ranger is called Terry Carmichael (played by Samantha Mathis) and on spotting Hale, she attempts ...

Advantages: Great chases and shootouts, great nuclear blast scene Disadvantages: Not up to usual Woo standard
Being an avid fan of John Woo after Hard Boiled and the like, this film was a bit of a let down. It’s a great action film, but far too Hollywood for a real good Woo film. John Travolta plays an air force commander attempting to steal a nuclear weapon to ransom back to the USA, opposing him is Christian Slater in a chase across the American deserts.
The shootouts are fun and the script is entertaining but it lacks the whole dark seedy world of Hong ...

Vic "Deak" Deakins (John Travolta) and Riley Hale (Christian Slater) are two fighter pilots asked to take two live nuclear weapons on a B-3 stealth bomber to a specific destination. Deak is a power freak who just loves the thought of destruction at his fingertips, he has another plan with the warheads, he has the intention of reselling them for a huge huge profit or blowing up a large portion of the United States.
His plan kicks into action when ... ...out the plane, and Deak presumed he’d killed him.
Riley lands in the desert (thanks to his parachute), and the first thing he sees is a gun pointed at his head by Terry Carmicheal, the Park Ranger, who eventually helps Riley in his attempt to recover the lost warheads. From then on it turns into a terrific chase between Deak and Riley to recover the warheads. This movie is full of hair raising action, the most awesome effect of the movie was ...

Advantages: 3 top films in one box cheap price Disadvantages: doesn't look good in the dvd collection display
...If you like any of these films then this is a must buy. Set out simply in 1 box which folds out so you can see all 3 dvds side by side. The only problem is that the box is bland and will look odd sat next to a plastic dvd case, but still worth the money as in my opinion the films are great and the price is outstanding. Brokenarrow staring john travolta is a clsasic film, speed is also another classic along with the siege. these films arent high budget but they certainly pack a punch.
Recommended if you enjoy a abit of action along with a simple story line which will keep you entertained through out. so sit back and enjoy...

Advantages: Good interesting Storyline that keeps you guessing Disadvantages: The DVD Extras are a big let down
...Travolta in BrokenArrow.
Now onto the DVD features and like most disks now it comes with pretty bog standard features, which for those of you who look at features, as a big part will probably be disappointed. Personally it's not something that sways me towards a film, as it's very rare unless doing something like this that I would actually bother to sit and watch them at all.
The first feature as almost all DVD's come with is the Directors Commentary, which lasts for the full 92 minutes of the film and is actually one of the most boring I have heard. Part of this is down to the fact that the director has a distinctive groan to his voice, which makes it sound very unexciting even if what he is talking about is interesting. He covers a lot of the usual stuff including special effects, filming locations and facts about filming.
So not a very...
