These boxsets are great value for money, if all you are intrested in is watching a good film, i know that's all i'm intrested in! Extras are all well and good, but i find i have the time to watch the film and then have little or no intrest in seeing the directors view, let alone a bit part actors view! The best way to review this is each film seperately, so here goes:
Broken Arrow The Story is so simple and typical of an american writer, 2 Air Force pilots are pitted against each other in a race to recover two stolen nuclear warheads. It makes you wonder what realy happens over in america, they seem to lose more nuclear weapons than i care to imagine!!! What transpires is a Fast Paced action adventure that makes you wonder what incredibel feat will the main stars (Travolta, Slater) do next! Full of witty one liners, i added a few myself during watching!(Namely after the scene on top of the train, i added "It's been a while since anyone has shot between her legs") Worth watching as it has good entertainment value. I still thoroughly enjoyed this film, yet it was not a remarkable performance by any of the cast nor director!
Director:- John Woo Cast include's:- John Travolta, Christian Slater, Delroy Lindo Run Time:- 104mins approx The Siege
This was the main film that i was looking to purchase when i brought the boxset, mainly due to it's leading cast of Washington and Willis. The plot is set in New York and terrorists are beginning a bloody campaign on the streets and it is down to a FBI agent and U.S. Army General to discover who they are and stop them. Explosions galore and unfortunately for the terrorists they don't get the twin towers in this one! Good Film, Good entertainment! Director:- Edward Zwick Cast include's:- Bruce Willis, Denzel Washington, Annette Bening, Tony Shalhoub Run Time:- 111mins approx
Chain Reaction This film has lots of great bits, namely miss Weisz! And is good entertainment! As with the previous films in this boxset it is fast paced, edge of the seat suspense. The plot is set around a scientific experiment to produce an inexhaustable energy supply, (really!!!) and the big wigs of the power industry ain't to happy to supply free energy for free! Murder and espionage ensue, along with a hugh explosion which nearly takes out the main characters! Had it and the film could have ended... but they didn't so that left me oggling Ms Weisz for a while longer! Good film, great entertainment!
Director:- Andrew Davis Cast include's:- Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Rachel Weisz Run Time:- 102mins approx All the films are very enjoyable, and well worth a long evening in with your feet up on the sofa! And to be able to buy all 3 in 1 just makes sense! Enjoy.
