Advantages: An excellent selection of vintage war films, perfect for an avid fan of war films, such as myself. Also ideal for anyone who wants to get a taste of this genre. Disadvantages: May have been better to replace 'The Cruel Sea' with a more classic film such 'The Great Escape' or 'The Guns of Navorone'.
This collection is an excellent selection of vintage war films. Perfect for anyone who enjoys this genre. The Dambuster and The Colditz story are of particular interest to me as they are true stories. Which are portrayed very well in the respective films. The good thing about this being the 'British' war film collection is that there is the absence of the 'american touch'. By this I mean the story hasn't been adapted from the truth in order to satisfy Hollywood. This increases the enjoyment of the war film your a watching as you know what is being showed actually happened. The Cruel Sea is a collaboration of many different seamens experinces during WW2, and shows an excellent portrayal of what these brave men had to endure. However I am a sucker for true stories, so although this story is not unrealistic, i would have preffered ...
Advantages: Easy Viewing. Disadvantages: Lori Petty can get a bit grating.
his way - The Rippers, who are half men and half kangaroo (wierd i know), whose job it is to bring down the water and Power company. Aswell as them, theres the feisty tomboy Tank Girl.
She sets off to destroy kesslee aswell as rescue one of her minions, but she gets caught - and gives nothing but attitude to her captures. Along her journey she teams up with a black haired Naomi Watts playing Jet girl, the 2 then team up with the Rippers, kesslee's other rival! and they set out to take over the world!....
The film has a few nice images taken from Tank Girl's original cartoon creator, aswell as ovr the top crazy visuals and action sequences! the soundtrack is pretty hip too!

dragon wars is the worst film i have ever seen! its all about an old man who asks this boy to find a girl who is enchanted or something and has mystical powers,she is the girl who will bring a magical dragon from heaven to fight the evil dragon.at the end the girl dies but it is a very poor ending and the film tried to be a sob story,but frankly,its a load of cheap ,low budget rubbish.
there are some scenes that dont make sense,for example when the guy gets shot head on and he just gets up and walks away,and when the guy unleashed a power and it burned everything around him ,but his ropes were still tied up,then he runs to the girl.
it really is the most terrible movie ive ever seen,would never watch it again. ...
