Advantages: the film turns the generic convention of escaped prisoner on its head Disadvantages: some scenes look dated
...The One That Got Away shows Germans in a sympathetic - even heroic - light, only a dozen years after WWII had ended. It also makes for an interesting exercise in the power of cinema. Despite bitter postwar feelings it must have been hard for Allied audiences not to root for the `enemy' POW trying to escape back to his homeland. And how many British films of that time would have gambled with a German actor as its leading man? As it happened, this was a star turn for Hardy Kruger, who gives a charismatic performance as Lt Franz von Werra, a Luftwaffe pilot forced down over Kent and then shipped to a POW camp in the LakeDistrict. His tenacious escape attempts throughout the remainder of the film make for compelling viewing. Advantages: Palin, interesting interviewees, more insight than 'Around the World' Disadvantages: None if you yearn to travel and like Palin.

...This tale of a lethal 40 foot anaconda is thoroughly entertaining. A documentary film crew embark on a journey to find an undocumented tribe, only they find an evil loner on a journey to find an anaconda. They wind up coming face to face with giant water snakes and battle for their lives. The film is action packed and has good special effects. Its best to watch this on a big screen as it is very fast and full of surprises. I would recommend this to people who enjoyed films such as Lake Placid, Jaws or Piranha....
