This is the fourth outing for Chucky - the friendly talking kids toy inhabited by the soul of a mass murderer. Our foul-mouthed hero was destroyed at the end of the third film, but not to worry because his girlfriend (played by Jennifer Tilley) is going to rescue him.
Having rescued what remains of Chucky and sown him back together she tries to raise him from the dead using Voodoo for Dummies (never seen that one in Smiths!!). Once he’s back, Chucky begins by killing Tilley’s new boyfriend. When things don’t go quite the way she planned, Tilley decides to lock Chucky up. The doll, resourceful as kids toys normally are, manages to escape from his cage, kill Jennifer Tilley and raise her soul from the dead into the body of a female doll.
The only way they can save themselves is to use a sacred amulet that was buried with the original human body of Chucky. To start with they manage to trick the nice boy next door (I know they live in a trailer park!) into taking both the “dolls” to Chicago. Eventually however they have to hijack the van they are travelling in, along with the guy and his runaway girlfriend. All this leads to a dramatic showdown and a little surprise for Chucky.
I am a great fan of horror films and the first film in the series was great fun. The two sequels however were dire, but finally they are back on track. They have bought the humour back into the film (there is nothing funnier than a foot tall doll that swears and gestures at you) and reduced the gore. Films that make fun of themselves are always a laugh and you won’t find anything funnier than a love scene between two dolls.
The story is thin, but the dolls are extremely good. This is a great film - very funny (even if its unintentional) - well worth watching when you’re in a funny mood.

i liked opinion, though i have to disagree and say that the second is better than the first and thrid, and that the gore is anything but reduced. Very good op, keep it up :O)
