I know that this has all been said before, but Breakfast at Tiffanies is just so BEAUTIFUL. The setting, the script, the actors, EVERYTHING about this movie is just perfect, now I’m not a great one for Romantic Comedies, but this film is just a classic The premise of the story is that a struggling writer meets up with a ambitious socialite, there is instantly some spark, but any chance of romance seems to be squashed when each party seem to be involved with diffrn't people... I think that Audrey Hepburn really does illuminate the screen as Holly Golightly the ever ambitious socialite, her portrayal of a otherwise unlikable charecter is quite remarkable as she takes her role in so many directions in such a short amount of time. The story is predictable yes, but it is done in such an un clished way that you can forgive it's unoriginality. George Peppard, also puts in a charming performance as Hollys on off boyfriend, he plays the untight seemingly know it all with vunrebility as well as the nessecary snobbery. Each time you watch this film you can get something diffrn't from it and OHH it is just so beautiful, it shows New York In a way that makes everyone want to go there. I think that the director Blake Edwards and screenwriter George Axelrod also deserve mention as Blake directs this film with such enthusasm and George make the charecters so un 2 dimentional its unbelievable. DEFINATLY one to watch if you already hav'nt seen it.
