Breakdown isn't as bad as a lot of people make it, out to be it takes while for the plot to pick up, but when it does it makes for a fantastic movie.
Kurt Russell stars as Jeff, who is driving with his wife Amy (Kathleen Quinlan) into San Diego, when their car breaks down. After many long hours in the mid-day heat, help comes in the form of a man in his 18 wheeler truck. He offers to take Amy to the neareast phone, while Jeff stays with the car. When Jeff finally gets his car working, a frantic search for Amy follows... she has completely disapeared. And the man who helped them out, claims never to have seen them in his life.
Very nail-biting stuff, as you experience the wide-awake nightmare that Kurt Russell's character is induring. Rated 15, rent it from your local video shop.
