...magic. However, Vic and Bob are hugely watchable at all times and so R&H had just enough to keep you hooked, waiting for things to pick up. There's nothing in Wes Craven's Dracula to rival the Dynamic Duo and the simple fact is that this film is really rather dull and boring with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
BramStoker's Dracula featuring Gary Oldman remained faithful to the spirit and substance of the original Gothic novel and in doing so created a strong and valid contribution to the long line of vampire horror films. The Lost Boys was a classic updating with some real imagination and verve, and a brilliant soundtrack. Advantages: A vampire flick that's actually scary! Disadvantages: A few plot flaws and a poor portrayal of the passing of time are a slight hindurance!

...This is THE greatest vampire film of all time, after Nosferatu and Blade, for one good reason. All vampire fils fall into three types: slayfests, like Blade and the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer film, vampire sexfests (being em I ain't seen any of them) and very rare explorations of the vampire legend. Whilst at Castle Dracula, Harker is exposed to some wierd stuff- gravity defyign liquids, a non- reflective Dracula, Draculs female vampire cohorts...
