Advantages: Not many unfortunately - the fight at the end? Disadvantages: Ruins the series
...Rocky's back! Unfortunately upon his return he finds that his accountant has swindled all of his money from right under brother in law Paulie's nose. So Rocky has to got back to his home town, into a tiny house, and his kid has to go to a normal school. Rocky has been diagnosed with braindamage, so can't get a licence to fight, so he can't make his money back. A young fighter, Billy Gunn approaches him for some help and Rocky agrees to train him, even though it means not spending any time with his son. Sylvester Stallone does a good job here, slurring his words more than ever, and really acting as if his has got braindamage. The problems get worse when Rocky's protege leaves him for a promoter that'll give him a title shot....

Advantages: Some good fight scenes Disadvantages: we have seen it before
...Up until last week, I didn't even know there was a Rocky V. I thought the saga ended with Rocky beating the Russian powerhouse (in highly unrealistic fashion). Personally, I think they would have been better off leaving it at that.

He does and ultimately his young protege dumps him for the promise of more money. Still with me? Anyway, it all turns very nasty and the two of them end up having a bare knuckle fist fight in an alley somewhere (there also just happens...

Advantages: Great sequel to the rocky franchise Disadvantages: Continuity errors with brain damage, not explained
...This is a very good sequel to the Rocky franchise but it has some continuity errors. The main one would be the braindamage Rocky sustained in Rocky IV seems to be unconsidered in this when he applies for his boxing license. Other than this, this film has all the makings of a great Rocky film. The characters are all working well and the directors commentary really brings the Rocky character to life. I think this movie continues well from the other films however and really captures the emotion that rocky goes through when fighting one more fight. You can tell by the end of the movie that this should be the last movie to be made for this franchise. I feel this should be the last Rocky film to be made and should be watched by any Rocky enthusiast....
