I have to admit, I read the reviews and was really looking forward to settling down and watching this film. Unfortunately I was to be left very disappointed. I’ve been a big fan of both Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy for years, but watching this just made me wonder why they bothered. The script is terrible, it has the occasional chuckle in there, but on the whole there was just nothing really funny about it. I got the feeling that Eddie Murphy was just going through the paces of what he’s good at, and Steve Martin came across as though he just didn’t have what it takes any more. The extras contained on the disc are OK, but I found that I just couldn’t bear to go through all the deleted scenes as I felt my time could have been better spent pulling my teeth out with pliers! If you feel you must see this, then rent it first, but please don’t buy it, you could be making a mistake.

Advantages: Very Funny, A surprisingly great film Disadvantages: Some of the acting is a bit lame at times but, then it fits in perfectly with the style of the film
