Right let me start, on the start up screen of Bottom DVD it asks you what language you want English or Danish. Well we want English of course, and then we have a very nice introduction to the world of BBC comedy (which you can skip at anytime). On the menu there's a picture of Richie and Eddie (Richie with his normal pervy looking face and Eddie with a blank look of drunkenness to him) you have a choice to play all episodes or you can pick an episode you want to watch. There are also subtitles and a "Bonus Bottom" on the menu which I'll tell you about further on.
There's a total of six brilliant episode on Bottom series one DVD. These are the first episode to start bottom off and they just keep on getting better and better. Bottom is a show that can never get old, makes me giggle each and every time even though I know bottom word for word!

Richie then decides to put an add in the lonely hearts column in his local paper. While his reading the paper he sees an advert for pheromone sex spray for sexual inadequate, great he thinks he'll pull for sure with this. Richie grabs Eddie and makes him go into a sex shop for the female attracting spray. He thinks great death by sex here he comes. Richie and Eddie get ready and spray over half bottle on, they head off to there local pub (not before knocking each others light out first) Richie try's chatting up a women by the bar then oh dear her husband comes up behind him and gives him a good kicking, poor Richie. Bottom Series One DVD only has the one special feature but it's funny as hell!!! The special feature called "Bonus Bottoms Fluffs" which is basically all there mistake over the series just watching this for 20 minutes has you in a giggling fit. I love this DVD and I would recommend this to anyone who likes a laugh.
Cast
Rik Mayall as Richard Richard Ade Edmondson as Edward Elizabeth Hitler
Running time of approximately 173 minutes of pure fun, Regions 2 and 4 Pal. Certificate 15 although this DVD has more swearing than a high school playground!! hehe I love it.

Theme/Other None
Language Some, Moderate (Buts the loads of swearing)
Sex/Nudity Some, Moderate
Violence None (When all they do is fight!)

Advantages: Really funny and a great show Disadvantages: None
Bottom has always been one of my favourite british comedy shows ever. It stars Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson from 'the young ones' and 'filthy, rich and catflap'. Bottom is about two sad, pervy, vicious men Richard Richard and Eddie Hitler. All these two want to do in life is to try and 'do it' with a real woman. Advantages: Still extremely funny Disadvantages: Little in the way of extras
The first six 'revolting' episodes of the scraps and scrapes of Richard Richard (Rik Mayall) and Edward Hitler (Ade Edmondson), two of the saddest experimental life-forms known to man.
For me possibly the greatest sitcom ever, it was great to finally start my collection on DVD and throw away those dodgy old VHS recordings!
Not much in the way of extras sadly, a few (very funny) out-takes and thats about it.
Fans of 'Bottom' will know exactly what ... ...comic violence, masturbation jokes, it's all here. For those not yet familiar with the escapades of Richie and Eddie, if you are expecting modern, sophisticated 'comedy', probably best to look elsewhere. If your looking for a bloody good laugh though, very highly recommended!

'Gas' - Eddie has been stealing next door's gas supply, and the ...

...in the Young Ones together. Bottom in some ways carries on some of the mentallity from those days.
Bottom is however, I find , a lot funnier than the Young Ones. The humour of Bottom is quite original and Bottom series 1 is probably the best. I think they may have over done it a bit in later years.
Series 1 was fairly original slapstick comedy with some very interesting if not disturbing storylines!
Special effects, um don't remember those!
Soundtrack, ... ...characters who are 2 sad lonely men.
Value for Money, Excellent as you will watch it time and time again.

Bottom seies 1 was first shown on BBC in 1991, following on from the previous success of it's two stars who had made a career together with their chemistry and ability to roll off each other comically. After shows such as "The Young Ones", "The Dangerous Brothers"and "Filthy Rich and Catflap" during the 80's where the two would often play similar roles to their roles here. With Ade Admonson playing Eddie Elisabeth Hitler, a selfish and violently uncontrollable guy on the dole, who seems to spend it all on drink and porn magazines; whilst Rik Mayall plays Ritchie/Richard Richard a sex obsessed virgin and seemingly verges on the manically unstable.
The show centres on the two living in a flat by them selves and the violence between the two, effectively concentrating on simple slapstick added to the sex and fart jokes which made ...

DVD Description
Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson return in another anarchic sitcom continuing the tradition of their previous effort--The Young Ones and Filthy, Rich And Catflap--whilst upping the quotient on the slapstick antics and toilet humour. Here, hopelessly single Richie and part-time psychopath Eddie are two losers living in a seedy London flat permanently at each other's throats like a human version of Tom and Jerry!
