Bottom has got to be my most favourite sick-com ever! Second to the "Young Ones" of course. For people who haven't heard of bottom where the hell have u been!!!! Bottom is not to everyone's taste, but hey I have a sick sense of humour.
As I was saying Bottom isn't to everyone's taste, you either love it or hate it. With its sick, twisted, filthy slapstick, rib-splintering, insane sexual humour and just plain dirty duos of Rik Mayell and Adrian Edmondson. These two with there extreme comedic violence on stage takes the word "Nutters" to another level.
Bottom started with just a 30 minute show on BBC the episodes broadcasted in 1991 for series one, 1992 for series two, 1995 series 3. The series did very well, and then life's two biggest losers, Richard Richard and Eddie Hitler (Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson) take it live doing 5 live shows.
Bottom Live 2003 is the 5th live show (and upset to say there last one). Weapons Grade Y-Fronts Tours took the UK by storm selling out in there every show; they even had to put more shows on. (hehe I got front row tickets *Grins*)
In this live show Rik and Ade engage in violence, sick and sexual humour. Eddie (Ade) invents a time traveling toilet called nothing else but the "Turdes" to try and save his pal Richie after he drink's the so called elixir of life. But this elixir doesn't give you immortality; it gives you death in 10 minutes. Now the race is on to save his pal Richie, giving a bit away in the story but as you can guess Eddie saves Richie. Eddie goes back in time and stops him drinking the elixir, but to replace that bit of time lost Eddie has to shock Richie back to the present by smacking him round with the good old trusty cricket bat. (Eddie style) Richie now relies the pure brilliances of Eddie's invention, and they decide to use it for pub hunting. On the way looking for pubs they get lost the time traveling toilet loses fuel, the batteries are in need of some hard-core charging! Which one steps up for the challenge? Richie the pervy, sticky hand thicko? Or Eddie the none stop drinking alcoholic? That's something for you to find out hehe.
This show is just sheer brilliance you laugh from start to finish, I love this show and I've gone to watch them twice live wish I could have seen them all live but grrr I wasn't old enough to watch them.
Sadly the only extra's on this DVD is behind the scene photo, but there sure funny! Certificate 18, running time of 90 minutes.
"Their incessant jokes about rear ends, dangly bits and flatulence have cumulative, delirious effect on the audience" Daily Mail.
"Filthy slapstick from a pair of comedy virtuosos" Daily Express
I hope you enjoyed reading my review
Thanks very much

The best one so far this show continues on thier funny slapstick and rude shows from the past and adds new elements of funny. from the start when richie needs the "toilet" from the turdis the time traveling toilet. this show is packed with funny. We even get to see an experiment ware richie rechrges the turdeses battery power with his own "friction"
