Advantages: Brilliant story Disadvantages: Hugh Grant?
...'Bridget Jones's Diary') and it was produced by Paul and Chris Weitz (who produced 'Meet the Parents'). It is suitable for anyone aged 12 and upwards.
The soundtrack has been made by Badly Drawn Boy, and the main song you hear throughout the film 'About a Boy' is brilliant.
There is bonus material on the DVD - feature commentary with Chris and Paul Weitz; making of About a Boy; deleted scenes with Directors' commentary; Badly Drawn Boy music videos; Born in the Uk - interview with Badly Drawn Boy and DVD-Rom features.
It does mention a web page, www.about-a-boy.com which you can look up. Running time of the film is 97 minutes.
You can pick up the DVD quite cheaply in town (I have seen it somewhere here for £5 or £6), or on the web - have seen it for about £5.07 on the web....

Advantages: Hugh Grant, Nicholas Hoult's quality acting, Quite funny in parts Disadvantages: Predictable at times
...parts I found it quite predictable. The film features a fantastic soundtrack written by Badly Drawn Boy. The DVD edition of the film also includes the following special features:
*Feature commentry by Chris and Paul Weitz
*The making of "About A Boy"
*Deleted scenes with directors commentry
*Badly drawn boy Music videos
*Born In The UK - interview with Badly Drawn Boy
*DVD-ROM features
I definately rate this film and I think that it raised some really good issues even though the film was a comedy! I've heard it described as a romantic comedy but I have to disagree so dont let that put you off if you're a male who wants to watch it!...

Advantages: Four solid episodes Disadvantages: What's different to any other Simpsons DVD?
...Another Simpsons DVD offering, and for this reviewer, another disappointment. It isn't that the episodes featured ('Natural Born Kissers', 'The Way We Weren't', 'Large Marge', and 'Three Gays Of The Condo') are bad episodes, it is simply that I do not believe that this offers any better value for money than any other Simpsons DVD.
I also felt annoyed when buying the product, the creators have referred to the DVD as containing four 'unreleased' episodes...this is not true, 'Natural Born Kissers' featured on the earlier Simpsons - 'Too Hot For Tv' DVD. Although it is a good episode, and has the same tongue-in-cheek comedy that most Simpsons episodes convey, the claim is unproven, something that frustrated me.
The best episode on the DVD is 'Three Gays Of The Condo', Homer produces quote after quote of comedic brilliance, I would...

Advantages: Excellent acting, Well written, tastfully handled Disadvantages: There should be a lot more french speaking
...After seeing this film, i was left stunned. I have never enjoyed a period piece quite as much as 'Perfume'. The main character Jean-Baptiste Grenouille (Ben Wishaw) is acted wonderfully, toying with your own morals as you sympathise with a merciless murderer.
The plot:
Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is born at a market stall in Eighteenth Century Paris to a mother who believes him to be dead at birth. Lying amoungst the rotten meat, mud, and rats he is bombarded with a myriad of smells. As he grows up he learns not to distiguish between good and bad smells, but to experience as many smells as possible. This soon changes when he first smells woman, and is entranced. Resulting in a mission to find a way of preserving any scent forever ....

Advantages: Extreamly gory and fun! Disadvantages: Bad acting
...of the movie, Jackson plunges into the top of an alien's head chain-sawing his way through, then emerges from the aliens ass covered in intestines, proclaiming that he has been born again!
Bad Taste's loveable amateurishness cannot be replicated, and will not be found anywhere else. Bad Taste is clearly a cult movie, loved by some, and hated by others. I for one, love this movie!...
