Advantages: Another 21 episodes in Max's mutant world Disadvantages: Lots of people don't like the 'monsters'
...season 2 fighting for the right of these 'mutants' to live, whilst dealing with an impossible relationship with Logan (the man she loves).
It's obvious throughout that season 2 is part of a much larger story arc, but unfortunately the series was cancelled before the third season.
DVD boxset information
The season 2 boxset consists of 6 DVDs, in 3 plastic cases and an outer cardboard sleeve. Disc running time ranges from 102 to 170 minutes (3 or 4 episodes per disc, 21 in total).
The R2 version has subtitles in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish and English for the hearing impaired.
The boxset is very light on special features (presumably because of the series cancellation), with only one featurette ("Seattle ain't what it used to be") and an interactive trailer on disc 6....

This has to be my most favourite series to date, it's not like your normal run of the mill drama series, it really has got that something different….
The first series:
This consists of a 2 disc set, which contains 5 episodes,
Which probably doesn't sound a great deal, but when each episode is an hour long,
But it doesn't seem that long when you are totally caught up in the action.
It starts on a very happy note, its Len and Linda's wedding day, when Arthur who is the village doctor, decides to play mind games with his son.
Tom (Arthur's son) arrives to be best man at the wedding, but not all goes according to plan, there are a series of incidents that really makes you think will the wedding ever go ahead,
With this being set in the 1950's it really makes you think this is how people really lived in such a tight kit...

...portrayed Bob and Terry as youngsters growing up in the North East of England. I can't really remember this series when it was originally shown either, although I have seen various repeats over the years. I was delighted to find this series is now on DVD. Written by Dick Clement and Ian la Frenais, who also brought us Porridge, the less successful Porridge spin-off, Going Straight, and some of the Auf Wiedersehen series, this is a superbly written sitcom, only marginally second to the almost flawless Porridge.
James Bolam, who plays Terry, has long been one of my favourite actors. Terry is the role for which he is probably most famous, at least to those of my age (late thirties) and older. However, he has also appeared on our TV screens in other sitcoms like Only When I Laugh and The Beiderbecke Affair, and more recently in dramas such as Born...
