Get your tissue ready, as I can guarantee this films makes you cry with laughter!
Borat (a fictional Kazakhstani journalist played comedian Sacha Baron), is sent to the US and A by the government of his country ("Greatest Country in the World!"), along with his friend, Azamat, to create a documentary about American Culture and Society.
Falling in love with Pamela Anderson whilst watching Baywatch, and after finding out his fat violent wife was killed by a bear, he sets out on a Long Quest (In an Ice Cream truck) to California to marry her and then take her back to his country. During their journey one night, they stop at a bed and breakfast, where the owners turn out to be Jewish. Fearful of their lives, they escape from the building after thinking two cockroaches were the two owners who had transformed themselves.
As protection, and after rejection at trying to purchase a gun, Borat buys a bear... sumthing which was only succesfully scaring away litle children chasing after the ice cream van.
Later on in their journey at a hotel suite, Borat walks in on Azamat masturbating over an image of Pamela Anderson. Admitting to Azamat then their real reason for travelling to California, they start to have a brawl fully naked, which carries on through the hotel halls, an elevator, and a Ballroom with many people it. As a result of this, Azamat leaves Borat, taking the bear, all the money, and Borat's Passport, leaving Borat with only his chicken and ice Cream Van!
All alone, Borat ends up with a bunch of drunken hitch-hikers, who show Borat a sex video of Pamela Anderson, with Borat feeling very hurt by the fact that she was not the virgin he thought she was. Strangely he doesnt really know much about her at all!
Overcoming this after attending a United Pentecostal camp meeting (where he learns to forgive Azamat and Pamela) he sets back out on his search for Pamela, where he finally meets her, at a book signing event at the Virgin Megastore, only ending up being thrown t the ground and hand-cuffed by security guards, after trying to abduct her. I found this part of the film hilarious when he just gets caught and says... im not attracted to you anymore...NOT!
Ending back in Kazakhstan, he shows the changes which his visit to the US and A have made to his village, with his neighbour getting an iPod mini (as it's for girls), and other technologies such as Laptops, and TVs.
Below are some of the quotes which I particularly liked throughout the film:
Quotes ===== There are simply thousands of quotes in this film so I have picked out a few of my favorites;
"Wawawoowa!"
"This is my sister! She is number 4 prostitute in whole of Kazakhstan"
"This is my mother! She is oldest woman in ALL of Kuzek! She 43!"
"Gypsy! Give me your tears! If you will not give them to me, I will take them from you!"
"What kind of dog is this? Is it a 'Cat in a Hat'? It's a tortoise"
" You telling me the man who try to put a rubber fist in my anus was a homosexual"
"I am not attracted to you anymore! NOT!"
"My moustache still tastes of your testes!"
"Although Kazakhstan a glorious country, it have a problem, too: economic, social, and Jew".
"Look, there is a woman in a car! Can we follow her and maybe make a sexy time with her?"
"A man yesterday, tell me if I buy a car I must buy one with a pussy magnet".
"What's up with it, Vanilla face? Me and me homie Azamat just parked our slab outside. We're looking for somewhere to post up our Black asses for the night. So, uh, bang bang, skeet skeet nigga. Just a couple of pimps, no hos".
"Sadly, I cannot go after Pamela or else my wife will snap off my cock".
All in all a very good film, which doesn't really have any story line, but is made up for with the amount of humour it provides.
