Bones Season One

22 Episodes on 6 Discs

Price : £27.99

Cast:
T.J. Thyne = Dr. Jack Hodgins
Jonathan Adams = Dr. Daniel Goodman
Eric Millegan = Zack Addy
David Boreanaz = Special Agent Seeley Booth
Emily Deschanel = Dr. Temperance Brennan
Michaela Conlin = Angela Montenegro

Episode Quality: 6/10
Video: 9/10
Audeo: 8/10
Packaging: 7/10
Extras: 4/10
Acting: 9/10
Writing: 8/10
Originality: 7/10

Extras:
An interesting commentary and a few small featurettes.

Plot:
Basically it involves Dr Temperance Brennan (a Dr of anthropology who struggles with people and social situations) teaming up with special agent Seeley Booth (a man who isnt good at the science side of things but can read people really well) to solve murder cases with the help of the rest of the jeffersonian institute.

Summary:
An interesting concept which is pulled off well by the cast and crew. The episodes in the first season are hit and miss, although there are more good episodes than bad ones.
There is some repitition of storylines in the first season but that becomes alot less in the second season (Which is betetr than the first in my opinion).

Positives:
Character Interaction is easily the shows strongest point, especially between David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, it also has a great comedic feel to many parts of the episode which i think is essential in most dramas.

Negatives:
As i have said before, sometimes watching a new episode can feel like watching one you already have watched, but in season two the writers tried a lot harder to think of interesting new storylines which they did very well.
Another negative point would be the lack of extras on the DVD, with hardly anything at all.

Watch if you like: CSI, Cold Case, House
