Advantages: All in opinion Disadvantages: All in opinion
...The battle of Calima towards the end of the movie is the battle of freedom – as humans prepare to take on the apes. General Thade leads the attack as his troops line up and prepare for battle. This scene is the ultimate battle – apes versus humans – its full of action and it is the first time in the movie we see thousands of apes clustered together in any given scene. There is one more twist to the movie - but I won`t give that one away.
Bottom Line :
*************
Don`t let anyone tell you this movie is not worth watching – It is a very good movie and well worth watching. The apes are impressive – they are excellently done and General Thade`s (Tim Roth) performance alone is evidence of how real the apes come across. Advantages: Good Acting and Comedic Moments Disadvantages: Not Much Of A Plot
..., not really…), nevertheless, the music really does work. It’s as atmospheric as any war-ish film should be.
It is nice to see some comedy moments in it. Near the end you’ll hear a line that brought a tear to my eye, I do laugh easily, but it’s just how it comes out of nowhere. “Wanna buy some aspirin, kids?”, it’s funny when you see it, honest…
The film was enjoyable, but for some reason I didn’t think the apes were apes (Because they weren’t.) I‘m sure many would say that they did look real, but everyone has a different opinion…

Advantages: costumes, action scenes Disadvantages: the ending and some of the acting and lack of detail
...I went to see Planet Of The Apes with my friends.I'd been wanting to see it for ages, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations, I found it quite confusing in some stages, quite boring in other but a lot of it was very exciting.
The film starts on the space ship and the main character goes after his monkey and somehow gets sucked through a black hole and ends up on a weird planet, sort of a middle age world but full of apes, who all speak in American accents, except those played by English people. The film makers obviously missed out this point along the way.The basic plot of the film is how a nice ape helps him to escape alone with some other humans, all the apes follow them, biding for blood. At the end he finds his space ship which is apparently thousands of years old.So he went forward in time, when he went through the blackhole...
