This fitness dance dvd is taken through by the award winning chereographer and dancer LaVelle Simth Jr. He has won awards including MTV Award, Best Chereography 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 2003 and the list continues! He has worked with rock, R'n'B and Soul artists. From working with Janet and Micheal Jackson, TLC, Texas, Rolling Stones to Beyonce. The bodylicios dvd is a workout fitness plan. Its reasonably short so it can fit into anyones day without an excuse and it does work but takes time. Its idea is to tone trim and slim. The exercises are not difficul to understand which is a plus but that doesnt mean that it wont hurt! The background dancers are good but dont seem very motivated as you might see in other fitness vids. But the dance they perform at the very beginning of the dvd before LaVelle introduces himself is impressive. The dvd includes 6 sections -Loosen up -Arm Forces -Back Attack -Fab Abs -Booty -Chill Out The moves consist of the isometric arm pull which tones up them muscles on the upper arm and pectoral muscles, the bicep press ups, arm circles, push ups which will tone your abs. After each section the exercises that you used earlier are put together to make a short routine that is repeated. The dvd inlcudes The making of bodylicious, outtakes, photo gallery, LaVelle 1 0n 1, LaVelle biography. After the fitness exercises there is a section called '8 Steps To Healthy Eating' which isnt that interestting most of it is common knowlodge. It it by Jeannette Jackson, a celebrity nutritionalist. The 8 steps according to her are- Water- 3 litres a day for a healthy adult. Proteins- 25% to 35% of diet should be effiecent protein Carbohydrates- eat little and often, avoid cereal bars Good Fat, Bad Fat- eat unsaturated fats Fibre- prunes, sweet corn, lentils, peppers, carrots. Fruit & Veg- lots of diff colours and 5 a day Anti Nutrients- eat fresh food, avoid smoking, salt and coffee Blood Sugars- Dont overeat and night and dont undereat at breakfast, complex carbohydrates. A 14 day diet plan is also included. A enjoyable dvd and does have results but jst dont expect things to happen straight away, give it time. But the dvd doesnt exactly give all it promises. Songs are quite catchy, but not well known. Enjoy!
