This DVD was released september 5th 2006, so has now been around for quite a while. But with all Bob the Builder products it's timeless, and always a source of enjoyment for children of all ages.
This DVD is a Wild West spectacular for your children to enjoy. This is a musical special with Bob the Builder and his crew heading to the Wild West. This is a fun-packed DVD with heaps of adventures! Bob and his team go hunting for a long lost treasure, and between campfires, gold mines and Cowboy action your children can't help but be enthralled and entertained.
Within this DVD new characters are introduced - you get to meet Rio the cowgirl and her horse that is called Dollar! Rio also has a pickup truck called Jackaroo and they join in with Bob the builders adventures. It's a far trek from Bobville for Bob and his crew, but it doesn't detract from any of the usual charm of the television series.
The DVD is 55 minutes long, so it is not one of the longest DVDs that you can buy of Bob the Builder, but it is still great quality. Also, prices for this have dropped since it was first released and you can now expect to buy it from places such as Amazon for as little as £5! I would certainly recommend this to add to your Bob the Builder DVD collection.
Advantages: good dancing and songs, funny Disadvantages: none

Bob sends him to clear out the rubbish from a old barn, but then he finds a secret tunnel leading to a mine shaft and a rollercoaster ride on a mine cart. Then he finds rusty rogers treasure!
There are special features aswell. Stinky spuds jail break game, songs from the west (the words for the songs apear at the bottom of the screen so you can sing along), adventure round up, and exclusive footage from the west end premiere. ...

Advantages: Different characters, good story and animation Disadvantages: Extras were a bit wet
the animated episodes often are. This film continues with the same animation, and I liked the way the backdrops were always given the same care and attention that the characters got. It added to the authenticity of the fact that they were in the Wild West.
I liked the music in the film, and so did my son. He enjoyed the whole film, and although there were parts where he got a little restless, this was more because his attention span is used to 20 minute episodes of programmes, and also because he has seen this a number of times before. The first time he watched it he was mesmerised by the new characters, which I suppose was the desired effect.
This is a nice film that I'm sure appealed greatly to all Bob the Builder fans. It's a well created feature length Bob story, and well presented in the DVD. Not too keen on the extras, but the main ...
Advantages: Kids loved it, good animation, some good songs Disadvantages: Verging on being a musical!
falls down. Rio is sad about this but she knows that it was an accident and Bob says that he, Wendy and the Gang will be able to help re build Cactus Creek.
Will Rio get her wish and have Cactus Creek back to how is was in the old days and will Muck be able to prove his was builttobewild when he and spud come across an old mine shaft?
Ok so I was not overly excited about watching this film but taking everything into account and especially the age which it is aimed at then I have to say that it was quite good. My boys did actually sit and watch all of this which did surprise me as the running time is a lot longer than the bob the Builder episodes which are on the TV.
The animation was great and a lot of detail was added to the back ground of each shot and it all did look very good. All of the film was nice and bright and very ...
