Advantages: Fantastic tracks, very listenable album
Disadvantages: Sun is SHining is not on it

Since seeing The Wailers perform at the London Rise Against Racism festival, it reminded me of how many great songs they have in their repertoire with Bob Marley and decided it was long overdue to buy a Best Of compilation. The album starts off with Is This Love the Marley penned classic from 1978 and the song really needs no introduction. It was taken from the Kaya album, which revolved around the duel themes of love and marijuana, and this instance the song was about love. It is a beautiful song, and certainly at the Rise concert, got the crowd singing. It is followed by No Woman, No Cry originally from the Natty Dread album and is about the struggle of life in the Trenchtown, the rundown part of Kingston, Jamaica where Bob grew up with his mother after his father died. The version of the song on Legend is not from Natty Dread ...

Bob Marleys famous Legend album, a great album for fans of reggae, bob marley or anyone who needs to relax and unwind. It has many famous songs such as no woman no cry, get up stand up, exodus, jammin, i shot the sheriff, buffalo soldier and the famous three little birds. Nearly all the songs in this album are timeless classics and known around the world by millions. Bob Marley is probably one of the most renowned reggae musicians ever, as nearly everyone in the western world has heard of Bob Marley and his songs about slavery, injustice, captivity and eventually freedom. This album contains some of his most memorable songs which have never been forgotten 26 years after his death from cancer in 1981. ...

Bob Marley "Legend" is a greatv CD to have in your collection. Marley was and is still regarded as a regge legend. More than any other artist, he helped bring regge music to mainstream audiences with his excellent songwriting and his gifty ability to sing.. He wrote some of the greatest records, that are still played all over the world.
