DVD Description

Perhaps the only entry in a genre all its own, BLOODY MALLORY is a neo-B movie French action film, with a ghoul-busting babe as its heroine, and an aesthetic designed to mimic the look of Japanese manga. A pastiche that counts BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and RESIDENT EVIL among its influences, the low-budget flick sports surprisingly strong special effects, and a soundtrack by Kenji Kawai (GHOST IN THE SHELL). Mallory (Olivia Bonamy, JEFFERSON IN PARIS) had a difficult wedding night, when she discovered her new husband was a demon and was forced to kill him with an axe. He cursed her as he died, and now she is forever bound to fight the forces of evil in France. A few years later Mallory heads up a team of anti-paranormal agents, comprised of an eight-year-old mute psychic who can occupy the bodies of others, and Vena Cava, a flamboyant transvestite with expert knowledge of explosives. When a routine mission in a convent turns into mass destruction, due to the appearance of a mysterious hooded woman who makes short shrift of Mallory's team, the goblin warrior knows something big is brewing. Barely escaping with her life, Mallory soon learns that the Pope has been kidnapped by the same shadowy figure, and despite the Church's disapproval of her activities, she is the only one who can save him. Mallory must enter an alternate realm to which the ghouls have taken His Holiness, and, with the aid of Vena and Father Carras (Adria Collado)--the Pope's leather-clad bodyguard--battle a shape-shifting succubus and a female vampire, among many other nasty demons.

It Was Fate
Review of Natural Born Killers DVD by  Fatdog

Advantages: Superb, exceptional film making.
Disadvantages: Not for those of a delicate disposition.

...Blew away the critics on its release in 1994 who couldn’t decide whether they loved or hated it. Consequently it received a mixture of scathing and delirious reviews. The reason for the confusion becomes apparent immediately once you start watching it’s a vicious, bloody and thoroughly nasty piece of work. But the trouble is that it’s also a masterpiece of satire and cynicism, blasting holes in the hypocrisy of the media and the ridiculous way news is presented. It caused outrage in Middle England on its release, and it’s easy to see why, being deliberately provocative in a show of over the top gore and pitch black humour. Another reason why it was so hard for the critics to ignore is that it was Written and Directed by Oliver Stone and the story came from Quentin Tarantino. Oliver Stone is best known... Read review

Navarone - Early Ford -Great
Review of Force 10 From Navarone DVD by  gizmoregis

Advantages: Good solid film
Disadvantages: Little dated

...This is a sequel to the movie, GUNS OF NAVARONE. CAST CHANGES In this version the roles of Mallory and Miller, who were played by Gregory Peck and David Niven, are now being played Robert Shaw and Edward Fox. PLOT The pair are sent to Yugoslavia to identify and kill the traitor who 'blew them' on Navarone, intelligence now believes is now in Yugoslavia and is with the Partisans there. Mallory and Miller being the only ones who can positively identify him therefore accompany Force 10, which is led by Colonel Barnsby (FORD). Force 10 has a mission of their own which Mallory and Miller know nothing about. When their plane is shot and most of the team is killed, they mistakenly believe that some of the locals they meet are Partisans but in reality are German Allies, so they are taken prisoner, and have to convince the German commander... Naturally Good Movie
Review of Natural Born Killers (Wide Screen) by  wampyrii

Advantages: see review
Disadvantages: see review

...Natural Born Killers is a movie about a pair of serial killers who become national heroes to the American public thanks to the media coverage which surrounds their exploits. On the way to racking up nearly 60 victims in the most violent of manners, Mickey and Mallory Knox(Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis) lead the police a merry dance before being finally brought to justice. After an even bigger public trial, they are sentenced to prison, but Mickey makes a last bid attempt to see Mallory by fooling the journalist who made them national heroes into giving an inside interview and inciting a riot. Ntaural Born Killers is on one level, a bloody rampage full of violence and action sequences to satisfy the most bloodthirsty of cinema-goer. On another level its a movie which ask a whole heap of questions and asks you to takea long hard look... Read review
