DVD Description
Uwe Boll helms this follow-up to his own action-packed first film from 2006. The movie takes place 100 years after the first BLOODRAYNE ended, and finds Rayne in a whole lot of trouble with some vampire cowboys. The cowboys are led by Billy the Kid, so Rayne teams up with none other than Pat Garret in an attempt to stop Billy's bloody reign of terror.
Advantages: A great feel good fantasy movie Disadvantages: Burt Reynolds
...black blood keeping it pleasant for concerned parents and it is kept to a minimal and there is no nudity etc. But for the adults the action and acting is intense as well as the plot and the magic scenes will be pleasing to all concerned. The film also has a couple of interesting plot twists to it which adds nicely to the drama and gives the viewer some pleasant surprises making the film more gripping. Admittedly I do have a penchant for these types of movies but I firmly believe this is a very pleasing film.

Advantages: A briefly effective scene because it was so gross. Disadvantages: Lazy acting, bad acting, gratuitous sex and violence, tired plot.
...characters, the tribal war games between head vampires. Due to the paper thin characters and lack of an inventive plot it plunges the film into a series of painfully dull and overblown sequences. Bloodrayne disappears up it's own arse as it uses every trick off the Lord of the Rings extras disc to aspire to an epic level it has no chance of reaching.
Then the most puzzling excess of all. At the end of the film, before rolling the credits we get what I can only describe as a two minute Montage of Blood. A compilation of all the most gruesome moments from the film crammed together, serving no purpose whatsoever. I was simultaneously gob-smacked and in hysterics at the sheer audacity.
Bloodrayne deserves it's embarrassingly poor status on the internet. As of 8th May 2007 it had an average score of 2.5 out of ten, from 9,660 votes. Shockingly...

Advantages: Powerful, intense, well acted and well filmed. Disadvantages: None really, abit slow a times.
...A Remembered, disturbing seventies classic, referred to in many films and recently partly copied in ‘Wrong Turn’.
I recently purchased Deliverance on DVD at a respectable price of £12.99.
The actual movie I thought was very good, I do feel it is not something you can watch again and again, due to the slow moving, Psychological parts of the film.
Looked upon as an action-adventure, I believe this is mainly because of the cleverly filmed, exciting canoe rides, which are seen going over some fast moving rapids.
I would class the movie as a ‘disturbing drama’ due to the shocking male rape scene and the desperate attempt for survival. Although called an action, there is actually not that much featured, having the majority of the film concentrated on the psychological effects of the individuals involved...
