Advantages: New view of romance, good story and some breathtaking scenes! Disadvantages: Low budget film, some silly scenes and lack of special effects
Please note it's a film only review
One night . . . I wasn?t able to sleep . . . it was exceedingly hot and clammy, the mosquitoes were sucking my blood cheerfully while I was itching and scratching like a cat contaminated with fleas!
Therefore, I looked for the remote control that was hidden by one of my little monkeys and I started to look through the TV channels looking for a decent film to watch and forget about my bruised skin from the bites!
Ah . . . a film had just started! The tile grabbed my attention so I tuned in and concentrated!
Blood and Chocolate . . . or maybe death and love?
The first thing I saw was the name of the film . . . I thought how anomalous! It?s not the best and attractive film title but when I watched the film . . . I got the hidden message behind the name . . .
The storyline ...
Advantages: Gripping, Superb acting, makes you think about life differently, eye opening Disadvantages: It is a very disturbing film and might be too disturbing for some
Personal Opinion
I watched Blood Diamond last night and it was an absolutely amazing film that was completely absorbing and gripping. It is a 2006 action/adventure drama film co-produced and directed by Edward Zwick, director of Glory and The Last Samurai. It stars Leonado DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou. The film was put forward for five Academy Awards of which included Best Actor (DiCaprio) and Best Supporting Actor (Hounsou)
I admire Leonardo DiCaprio for his acting abilities he is a first class actor who is able to get deep into the character. As a character actress myself I know it is not easy to dig deep into a character that is so emotionally challenging as DiCaprio played. It would have made him feel a wide range of emotions and he probably had to dig deep to places that brought back that same emotion that ...

Following a visit to Camp Blood, during which she and her friends were attacked by someone wearing a clown mask, Tricia has been spending time locked up on a psychiatric ward, accused of having killed her friends. Although she was the sole survivor, it seems proof is thin on the ground, so Tricia is allowed to go free - but her psychiatrists think it would be a good idea for her to face the problem. This involves helping a creepy director to make a film of what happened at Camp Blood, with Tricia as the Technical Advisor. Before long, the cast is recruited and they head over to Camp Blood, safe in the knowledge that the person in the clown mask is dead. But is she really? If so, why are people dying horribly again?

As the sequel to Camp Blood, one of the worst budget horrors I've ever had the pleasure of watching, I knew what to ...

BLOOD ON THE SUN stars James Cagney as Nick Condon, an American newspaper editor working in Japan between World War I and World War II. While investigating the double murder of a fellow reporter and his wife, Condon discovers the insidious Tanaka Plan, which plainly states the Japanese aims of world domination. If he is to warn the world about the Japanese plot, he must stay alive and out of the hands of the secret police with the help of Iris (Sylvia Sidney), a beautiful Chinese-American spy. From his tender scenes with Iris to his action-packed jujitsu fights with the Japanese secret service, Cagney's performance is a masterpiece. Theodore Sparkul's high-contrast film noir lighting is among the best of the 1940s, as is the quick-paced editing in this critically acclaimed thriller from veteran director and two-time Oscar winner Frank Lloyd (CAVALCADE, MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY).
