Capturing the imagination of an entire generation is no mean feat, yet Blink 182 have done ... more
just that. Going from strength to strength with each new album, they have become true icons of the punk rock genre. It is therefore high time that the story behi...
Advantages: Some strong songs showing the maturity of the band Disadvantages: The odd weak track here and there, and what would be the band's last album...
Produced in 2003, Blink182's self-titled album, which would result in being their last studio one, arrived with a huge, international fanbase - hungry from more from one of the world's biggest punk bands.
Opening track and single 'Feeling This' can feel like a jumble of musical elements on first impressions, which is a shame as it is genuinely a cleverly layered piece of music - many of you will have definitely heard this, with it having been played on numerous music channels at it's time of release.
'Obvious' gives us some heavy guitar riffs, that build up the tempo as the song goes on, in a similar style to a number of Blink's earlier releases. The repetition of Tom DeLonge's vocals singing the same thing over and over again can becoming annoying to the weaker listener - you have been warned!!

Take me away from here (I'm feeling this) ?.?

Where the video for ?Feeling This? was as immature as ...
Advantages: All your favourite blink songs bundled into one awesome collection Disadvantages: Not as "special edition" as i would have hoped - lack of poster etc
Blink182 are a rare beauty - a genre defining band, they epitomise modern punk and everything brilliant about it. Simple, catchy riffs that are easy to create, manic drumming and clever, often disgusting lyrics. It is music that sums up the essence of being a teenage boy and is often a stepping stone to other great punk bands for many generations of kids who rediscover punk over and over again.
A literally timeless album, a must have for any Blink fan - or any who want to see what all the fuss is about. Skip straight to Adam's song if its your first time listening - its quite an out of character song for a punk band but is very touching. After that, simply play it from track one - loud, very loud! ...
